COVID Policy:

All patrons 5 years and older will need to show proof of vaccination at check-in. Please see the complete guidelines below.

  •  Exceptions are being made for patrons with a medical condition or closely held religious belief that prevents vaccination. These guests must provide proof of a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 72 hours of the performance start time, or a negative COVID-19 antigen test taken within 6 hours of the performance start time.
  •  Proof of vaccination can be in the form of the CDC card, a clear photocopy of this card, a clear mobile phone photo, or the NYS Excelsior Pass Wallet App. It must show the following:
  •  Ages 5-11: That you have completed the 1st dose of your vaccination, and that at least 2 weeks have elapsed since your 1st dose.
  • Ages 12 and over: That you have completed the 1st and 2nd dose of your vaccination, and that at least 2 weeks have elapsed since your final dose.
  •  All guests who are age 18 and over are also required to provide a current government-issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport) along with their proof of vaccination or negative test.

 If you were vaccinated in another country, please contact our box office so that we may determine what type of proof will be required. Proof of a negative COVID-19 test must show your name, the date and time of the test, the type of test taken and the results. These may be presented on paper or digitally.

 Following CDC guidance, masks will be required for all patrons regardless of vaccination status.

  • There are two parking garages conveniently located at 403 and 410 Lafayette Street. Fees vary.
  • If seated in the poncho section, wear the poncho! You’ll need it.
  • Strobe lights and other special performance effects are used throughout the performance.
  • Noise levels reach that of a rock concert. Earplugs are provided by the front-of-house staff upon request.
  • Masks will be required for all patrons regardless of vaccination status.

NOTE: Theater is NOT wheelchair accessible. Patrons must be able to negotiate 8 steps to enter lobby and 6 steps to access orchestra seating. No elevators or escalators.

Recommended for children 5 years and up. Everyone, regardless of age, must have a ticket to enter the theater.

Frequently Asked Questions about Blue Man Group NYC

Is the Aston Place Theatre handicap accessible?

No. Guests must navigate 3-6 stairs to reach their seats. Elevators and escalators are not available at the theater.


What is the poncho section?

The poncho section includes many of the rows closest to the stage. Patrons in this area are given ponchos to wear, because sometimes materials splash the audience. These substances are washable, but we suggest that you do not wear anything that needs dry cleaning.


Is there a dress code?

No, however, comfortable clothing is recommended.


What time should I arrive?

Doors open 30 minutes prior to curtain time. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes prior to showtime.


If I am sensitive to strobe lights, should I be concerned?

Strobe lights are used during portions of the show. If people sensitive to strobe lights decide to attend the show, they should alert the House Manager when they arrive.


Does the theater have security measures in place?

Yes. All guests and their bags are subject to security screenings and/or searches upon arrival at the theater. Weapons of any kind, regardless of permit, are not allowed in the theater.


Are snacks and drinks available for purchase?

Yes.


Is parking available?

There are two parking garages conveniently located at 403 and 410 Lafayette Street. Fees vary. It is recommended that guests take public transportation to the show.
