Millennium Downtown New York in New York, NY

Wow ! First of all, as per my other reviews, it’s all about the welcome. And the front desk on the Newly renovated 3rd floor was perfect. Served by Oscar ! So happy to help you and make you feel welcome, he is just brilliant. You also have William who was on later in the evening and nothing can be too hard for him to help you, he is bubbly and happy which rubs off and makes you feel good. The hotel is so clean and tidy. The rooms are perfect and not a bad size for Manhattan. The location is Spot on, away from the hussle and hassle at Times Square yet all the subway lines on the doorstep or a block away. It’s at the World trade centre so good for work at Wall Street or other areas of the financial district. Or for me great for tourism, walking around, close to the Brooklyn bridge and a lovely walk over to Brooklyn, have a pizza or Ice cream there or just have some amazing photos looking across the river to Manhattan. It’s also close to batter park for the ferries to Statue of Liberty. And nearby the free ferries to Statten island. Honestly it’s really good and the bell desk team on the ground floor are just as kind and welcoming From Savali and Ray, There all great. And last to mention is Jayden at the Cafe on the ground floor and the bar manager there too was very helpful in the evening. Overall I can’t recommend this property more highly. Absolutely 11/10 For Manhattan. Of course it is New York City, If there having a busy moment they may not be as friendly as they can be. But for NY it’s the best I have ever experienced. If your going for vacation or business, this is the one. Oh and don’t forget to go for a pint on the local Irish pub Ohara’s a few blocks away and hopefully served by Sean in the square bar area. He’s the best

Stayed for the NYC Marathon. Excellent location and a 15 minute walk down to the ferry for the race and a quick subway ride back after. Cost is much less than if you tried to stay uptown so it’s a good compromise. I stay at this hotel most times I come to the city and post renovations it’s even better. Only thing that’s not ideal is the rooms can get hot overnight but the windows crack open if you can deal with the street noise. Overall a seamless experience as always.

Horrible experience with booking and scheduling rooms. You can only book rooms online and front desk cannot help with reservations whatsoever. I was charged twice for my overall stay and have tried to contact management 3 times now with no resolution. Do not stay here.
