Standard hotel in New York, the best of the hotel is the location, a few minutes walking from the Empire State. Rooms are ok, really confortable bed but small bathroom. There is not a really good soundproof as you can hear everything from the other rooms. Staff was nice, however they didn’t allow us to pay upon check in...I don’t understand why 🤷🏻‍♀️. And one of the receptionist had an AirPod in his ear while I was talking to him (I hope without music). Breakfast quite bad, we were waiting to be served around 30minutes, there was only 2 people working and the restaurant was full. The guy said that the coffee was included with the breakfast and when we asked for the bill there was an extra $5 each.

The location is pretty good, 15 minutes walking from times square and Madison Square, close to subway. Eventhough in the time when we arrived the guy which made the check in, was tottally unwilling to answer any question we had and rude. He hard told us some directions about the surrounding area and charge our debit card with no warning another 80 dollars as a safety deposit. Another one bad fact about the hotel was the annoying sound of renovation works within the hotel at 9 am. Anyway the problems are fixable and comparing with the good spot, it could be a nice option in Manhattan.

On the day of check-in, I called the hotel to inform them of my late check-in as I was on a 7 hr train trip coming from Syracuse. To my horror, Agoda did not send to them my booking details! Fortunately, Chris from the front desk helped to make things easier and make sure that I won't need to sleep on the street! Contacting Agoda support was really difficult and when managed to get them, all they did was to send an email to the Hotel of my confirmed booking and not making sure that Hotel did actually reserved the rooms for me. So I have Chris to thank for ... a very helpful guy. He searched for the last minute email and then immediately settled my reservations! Great Job, Chris ... thank you so so much. Rooms are a little small but staff services are huge! Can get from them good maps and directions. I want to especially thank Luis too, for his generous smile and the warm hospitality. Booked a taxi to the airport with Luis but he surprised my family with a huge Limousine ... at cost of Taxi price. Even if without a Limo, Luis was just fantastic - a good guy! 5 stars for Chris and Luis

I stayed for three week and went out of my way to be a good guest. The day I left (11/16/2019), the hotel concierge saw me calling for a Lyft ride and told me if I used the hotel's ride service to the airport they would charge me a flat rate of $55 to Laguardia which included the tip and taxes. Then the guy gave me a hand written receipt for the $55. When I got to the airport, the driver took my credit card and would not give it back until I agreed to pay $75. When I called the hotel to discuss it, they put me on hold and never answered the call. When I tried calling back they either did not pick the line up or immediately threw me on hold. I consider this very unprofessional behavior. It implies they knew the driver would do this and are involved in some way. My bottom line on this is you should know you cannot trust these people and should not give them your business.

We arrived to the hotel around check-in time to be told the room was not ready. We had to wait in the lobby for about an hour to get our keys. This was a little frustrating as we were excited to go out and enjoy the city. We were able to stay in one of the newly renovated rooms which we enjoyed. It was a little small but very clean.
