Myrtle Beach St. Patrick's Day Celebrations

February 3, 2012

As luck would have it, St. Patrick’s Day falls on a Saturday this year, meaning there will be plenty of fun celebrations touting everyone’s favorite Irish holiday.

Make your friends green with envy by enjoying these St. Patrick’s Day events in Myrtle Beach:

3rd Annual Irish Fest:
Located at Valor Park at The Market Common, this festival features Irish food, beer and entertainment as well as lots of activities for kids.  Guests can also enjoy St. Patrick’s Day parties at nearly bars and restaurants at The Market Common.
Downtown Myrtle Beach St. Patrick’s Day Celebration:
This third annual block party is located on Ocean Boulevard in Downtown Myrtle Beach.  The celebration features food, beer and dancing in the streets.  An alcohol-free kid’s zone with rides and games will also be available to patrons.  Musical group Rusted Rood will headline the event.

St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in North Myrtle Beach:

This kid-friendly parade starts at 9am on Main Street, complete with floats, convertible and free candy.  Live music, food and green beer are available.  If you’re staying in North Myrtle Beach, stop for a drink at Flynn’s Irish Tavern.  Owned by an Irish family, the tavern features draft beer from all over the United Kingdom and the Guinness beer will be flowing freely.  Delicious items like shepherd’s pie will be served and live Irish music will fill the air.

Broadway at the Beach Irish Celebration:
All of the clubs at Broadway at the Beach will be celebrating St. Paddy’s Day and attendees can “crawl” their way around Celebrity Square for a night of St. Patty’s Day fun.  Some of the clubs featuring Irish celebrations include Froggy Bottom’s, Malibu’s, Sharky’s, Crocodile Rocks, Wet Willie’s and The Tilted Kilt.
Other pubs and restaurants on The Grand Strand hosting can’t-miss celebrations include O’Keefe’s Irish Pub, Pat and Mike’s Irish Pub and Finn McCool’s Irish Pub.
All events are scheduled for March 17, 2012.
