"Nice to be back at CI, but the wrist-band vouchers from Reserve NYC had some unlisted limitations."
June 2017
The Reserve New York City wristband does not include the Cyclone or about 4 or 5 of the highest thrill rides. These rides require separate tickets. This limitation was not listed in the description, we only found this out at Luna Park, when we handed in our vouchers; resulting in $30 of additional charges (just for the Cyclone). In addition there was a 90 minute delay in receiving our vouchers once we paid online, they were not "immediately available". This was a last minute purchase, and we had 15 minutes before leaving..luckily a helpful customer service agent was able to email me the vouchers more quickly.

Reserve NYC, my suggestion is to clearly state what the wristbands do and do not cover, "...up to 24 rides" really doesn't cut it...and.. to alert the purchaser (before buying) of any delay they may encounter before receiving the online vouchers.

I enjoy the history of Coney Island, the iconic Cyclone, the attempt at bringing back a SteepleChase ride, and the nostalgia of it all. However, some of the staff is flat out rude which overshadowed what could have been a great day, despite the rain. Some of the staff was very friendly; others, somewhere in between, but the nasty ones just took the wind out of my sails. I paid a lot of money for the all day pass and I don't feel like arguing with the staff. Some people are just jerks. Then it rained and they were nasty when kicking us out of the park. I will remember the good times I had there today, but I will not forget the rude staff members and will not be returning.

The rides were fun enough but the staff was terrible. Went on the go-karts and the people running it were demanding, impatient and just plain rude. Will never go to this park again.

We stayed in NYC for a week and decided to venture out to Coney Island for a different tourist experience. We purchased a day pass at the entrance and set about fitting as much as possible into the day. An old school theme park with some modern super speed coasters and a fun relaxed vibe. (Some are very fast) We ate at Nathans for the famous hot dog and sat on the beach to relax from the roller coasters. Approx 1 hour from where we were staying and well worth the trip, it's an easy Journey on the subway. We enjoyed the whole experience a nice contrast to the other sighseeing experiences in NYC and great fun. It was money well spent for great fun and making more travel adventure memories!
