Description

This thrilling adventure features the iconic Grand Canyon West 5-in-1 Tour, along with an exclusive VIP tour of the Hoover Dam and the impressive Bypass Bridge, soaring 900 feet above the Colorado River. The journey crosses Arizona’s golden High Desert and stunning Pastel Blue Mountain Ranges, dotted with Mohave Yucca plants, leading to Grand Canyon West on the Hualapai Indian Reservation. A stop in a 900-year-old Joshua Tree Forest, followed by visits to Eagle Point and Guano Point—two of the Grand Canyon's most breathtaking locations—provides three hours to explore the spectacular views. A romantic lunch at the rim, exploration of Native American dwellings, and shopping at Authentic Native American Gift Shops enhance the experience.

Hoover Dam, situated in Black Canyon on the Colorado River, stands as the tallest structure of its kind in the world. It’s a monumental achievement, recognized not only for its massive size and complex design but also for the determination and skill required to build it. Visitors can take in breathtaking views from the top of the dam, admire Lake Mead—one of the largest man-made lakes in the world—and marvel at the golden red cliffs of the Colorado River Gorge from the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge Walkway, 900 feet above the river. The Arizona side of the gorge offers spectacular views of the dam, bridge, and river. The tour also includes a walk across the dam, providing ample photo opportunities, and time to visit the Hoover Dam Gift Shop. As an added bonus, the tour passes through the historic Old Town of Boulder City and includes a stop at a park where Big Horn Sheep often descend from the mountains to graze.

This is the “family outing” of a lifetime!

We were already at the pickup point when David (our guide) arrived. We acknowledged his arrival by wishing him a very good morning and walked towards the transport when by David completely ignored us and continued passed us presumable looking for us. When eventually came back to the van we said was he looking for us. After confirming names, he yes, he was but he was looking for a male and female and not too males! We didn’t comment and just boarded the mini bus. On our way to collect the next guests David said” as we are picking up some other people who are couples would one of us like to sit in the front of the vehicle with him”? We were furious to say the least. David immediately assumed that as we were both males, we were just friend’s but we are also a couple as we robustly stated that to David. No apology just “Oh well…we’ll have to sort something out!” As for the stop off see the old main street of Boulder City and see historical buildings and markers. We didn’t see any of that we got out of the vehicle for 5 minutes and seen the big horn sheep and that was all! This was supposed to be a VIP trip but after squeezing 3 couples in the back of the vehicle it did not feel VIP to us. And then to add insult to injury just before my partner and I were due to be dropped back off at our hotel the office called to speak to David. The previous couple had left something in the vehicle but didn’t know what! After spending sometime looking for it we found a plastic cup. The office essentially demanded that he took the cup straight back and then drop us off after. So, we had to go all the way back to their hotel before we could then be taken back to our hotel. We were very annoyed at this point and again, this did not make us feel like VIPs at all. All in all, a very poor experience for what we thought was going to be a VIP trip to the Hoover Dam. There was no way this was a VIP trip. I found David to be extremely homophobic and, in this day and age, that is a very negative attitude and totally unacceptable behaviour. I would not recommend this trip to anyone. Look elsewhere.
