Still mid renovation. I went for a conference. Had I not been there for said conference, I would not choose the hotel bc there is no draw. The food was decent at the grill in the lobby and the food court was good for its cheesesteak. Breakfast was overpriced and understaffed. It should not take 40 minutes to get a table with at least 15 empty tables. The hostess was intentionally slowing the setting of tables. It suited the purpose of the trip.

I had great experience in staying at hotel Rio. The hotel had all the basic amenities that are required and is situated at a great location which is just five minutes from the strip and all the major attractions. The food experience at the food court was also great. I had meals at a Chinese restaurant had sandwiches burgers sushi there - Everything was top class.

Hotel staff could never answer any questions because they said they were new or didn't speak English! No ice in the machines on 2 floors even though I told the front desk. Won't ever stay there again. Went to one of their restaurants and watched people seated after us get drinks and food while we got nothing.

The hotel can do much better, starting with not having enough front desk check-in staff and the ones there who do not really seem to care about the guests. This is not really the best experience. My main critique would have to be the room and cleanliness. I was put on the higher floor of the Ipanema Tower, which was recently renovated. When I first walked into the room, there were stains all over the tile/marble area of the entrance and to the bathroom. There was some debris left on the floor of the bathroom. The sink faucet was not cleaned well. The magnifying mirror in the room has some stains on it, which it was not cleaned. Some pieces of paper and debris were on the floor by the couch, and some fried chicken bread was on the sofa. There were stains on the bed sheets and pillow. Thankfully, I had two queen beds, so I slept in the other one. On both nights, when I took a shower, the water started to get warm/hot, but then it went cold for a few minutes and then got super hot. I would not stay here if I didn't have a conference at the property.

A perfect stay for weekends. Children friendly as well although the environment much suitable for gamblers. Never have to worry on my kid safety here. Everyone was helpful from front desk to their security team. A great place to stay and everything was within the hotel itself.
