Description

from Big Apple in Lights
New York City at night – it’s a magical experience! Experience night views of Times Square, 5th Avenue, Grand Central Station, and more!

The first stop is one of the most fascinating attractions in New York City - the High Line Park and the Chelsea Market for a quick dinner bite. The stop includes a 15-minute walk on the elevated, linear park that was originally a railway dating back to the industrial days of the west side of Manhattan.

Off to Brooklyn to make a stop at Fulton Ferry Landing, located at the base of Brooklyn Bridge, for magnificent views of NYC skyline at night!

Back on the bus and passing along, we'll see the Sports Center at Chelsea Piers, the West Village, the Financial District, the most traditional side of Chinatown, and the three bridges along the East River - Brooklyn Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge, and Manhattan Bridge.

Additional sites and neighborhoods you'll also see from the comfort of your bus include Tribeca, where celebrities such as Robert De Niro and Taylor Swift live, Greenwich Village, the bohemian neighborhood known for great nightlife, the iconic Macy's Herald Square, where the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade concludes each year, the scenic Bryant Park, Washington Square Park, and finally, the New York Library (shown in movies such as "Ghostbusters,” "Sex and the City," and "The Day After Tomorrow.").

The highlight of the tour is a 20-minute inside tour of Grand Central Terminal! Receive a walk-through of this historic national landmark, as well as great photo opportunities of the nearby Chrysler Building.

IMPORTANT NOTES:
• Operational Dates: 7 days a week, rain or shine
• The tour starts at 5:30 pm in the Times Square area on 7th Avenue, between 50th and 51st Streets (in the middle of the block) and ends at 10 pm at the same location.

"NYC L'Amitie - Our Dad's Birthday Celebration Trip"

It was the trip of a lifetime celebrating our Dad's birthday this year with all our 7 sisters and our father and mother. The trip was named after the ship that brought our Cajun ancestors into Louisiana from France. Lovingly planned by our amazing father, one of our sisters and her husband, so many sights were seen and precious memories were created on this trip. One of the many highlights of our trip was our 6 hour USA Guided Tour of NYC. Our Tour Guide Rachel was superb offering an abundance of excellent facts and interesting information on each landmark visited. It was very important to her to keep everyone together and she kept us all on time and on task, always doing headcounts to make sure we were all with her. The tour itself was phenomenal, just to name a few, we were able to see St. Patrick's Cathedral, Madison Square Park, Rockefeller Center, the Empire State Building, the 911 National Memorial and we even took a 1 hour boat cruise of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, New York Harbor and the Brooklyn Bridge. It was an amazing day, thousands of photos were taken and beautiful memories were made to take back to Texas. All our thanks to Rachel and J for a great NYC Tour!

"Great tour"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed November 14, 2019 NEW
We only had 3 nights in New York so wanted a compressed tour to see some of the sights in New York. Having done a few tours in various places I was open to how this would go. As it turns out this was without doubt the best trip we have done, not because of the place but because of the tour guide on the day. Rachael was very welcoming on first meeting on the tour bus which was a nice compact size. Her knowledge of the City was impressive but most of all was the way she prioritised our personal experience at each individual stop on the tour. There was a method she used to make sure we got the best out of our stops at each place, even taking everyone's photos on their own phones etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Any sort of problem with timings of visits to locations she was well in control directing out driver a better route. I fully recommend this tour. Thanks Rachel for your knowledge, the stories and the overall experience.

Frequently Asked Questions about Big Apple in Lights

How long is the tour?
The tour is 4.5 hours, from 5:30 pm to 10:00 pm.

What if I show up late, or just a few minutes before the scheduled departure time?
We highly recommend you arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to ensure your reservation is honored. You have up to ten (10) minutes before the scheduled departure time to ensure your seat on the tour. Ten (10) minutes before the departure time, we note outstanding reservations as "no-shows." If we have walk-up passengers, they will be given a ticket and will be boarded at this time.

What kind of trucks or vans does USA Guided Tours use?
We use 35-passenger shuttle vans for daily mixed tour groups. Private tours are scheduled on our 15-passenger vans. We do our best to keep large, same-party groups together on the same bus. We reserve the right to substitute our larger 55-passenger buses, depending upon demand and/or our tour schedule. The 55-passenger buses have bathrooms on board for your convenience.

Are we allowed to bring baby strollers and/or wheelchairs on board the tour vehicles?
Unfortunately, the shuttles are not wheelchair accessible, nor is there storage for baby strollers. If you have a wheelchair, please call us to make special vehicle arrangements for your tour. Some of our tours involve longer walks so if you like, you may stay on board the shuttle, near the landmark, without exiting the shuttle bus every time.

Is the tip included in the tour ticket price?
Tips are not included in the tour ticket price.

Are we allowed to bring carry-on luggage on the tour vehicle?
The shuttle buses and vans do not have storage for accommodating carry-on bags. We ask that you only bring purses, briefcases, or backpacks for your tour; Please note that USA Guided Tours reserves the right to inspect any bags, book bags, briefcases or backpacks you carry.

How long do we stay at each stop on my tour?
It depends on the stop. Your tour guide will tell you the planned amount of time for each stop. We have allowed enough time at every stop for you to walk around and take plenty of pictures!

Can I be picked up at my hotel?
Pickup services available from selected hotels are offered. Please call the phone number on your booking confirmation to arrange pickup services.
