"Don’t book. Disgraceful"

The hotel was absolutely disgusting. Mildew in bathroom, wallpaper coming off the walls. Cold water. Check in unorganised. Would not call this place a hotel. It’s a hovel. Decor appalling throughout room. Bathroom shabby, and felt dirty and outdated. No plug for bath. Electrics ancient. And don’t appear safe.

"AVOID THIS SCAM AT ALL COSTS"

This hotel is a monument to incompetence, deceit, and human misery. Calling it a hotel is an insult to the concept of shelter. They knowingly book guests into freezing, uninhabitable rooms without heat or hot water, then lie, gaslight, and refuse to resolve issues. After a 4.5-hour drive, my family—including my wife, our toddler, and our six-month-old infant—arrived exhausted and in desperate need of a bathroom and a place to breastfeed. We found no functioning restroom in the lobby, and despite calling ahead, our room wasn’t ready—information they conveniently neglected to share when we called. Initially refusing to accommodate us (sending us to a restaurant across the street), and after I pushed back, our room was “miraculously” ready, only for us to discover it was the exact room we had originally booked—meaning they outright lied to our faces. The room was a disaster: no heat, no hot water, and a broken phone, leaving us stranded on the 19th floor, relying on a cell phone to contact the front desk—which, of course, never answered. The front desk staff was appallingly rude and unhelpful, particularly the vile Julie, who embodied everything wrong with this wretched establishment: dishonesty, arrogance, and a complete lack of basic decency. Her equally as incompetent manager, Naval, offered nothing but false promises—claiming the heat and water would be fixed by 6 p.m., then 7 p.m…etc. a complete fabrication. Their laughable “solution” was to offer us a filthy, unusable “shower room.” For a family with young children, the conditions were unbearable. My wife, trying to breastfeed our baby, had to wrap herself and the baby in layers of blankets to stay warm, while our toddler cried and shivered in the cold. After a miserable, freezing night, we woke up sick and had to fight for hours to have our stay comped. Julie and Naval gaslighted us further, pretending not to know our room number and backtracking on the comp they had already agreed to. This isn’t just a case of poor management—this hotel operates like a scam, knowingly booking guests into uninhabitable rooms while refusing to communicate or take responsibility. They seem to prey on non-English-speaking tourists who can’t advocate for themselves. If you value your health, sanity, and dignity, stay far away. Warn everyone you know. This place should be condemned, and those responsible for its continued operation should face serious consequences.

The hotel could do with updating but the overall experience was really good staff are so friendly rooms got clean every day we had a bath in our room but the plug didn't fit so the water would run out but still managed to have a bath the hotel was very central to everything bus stop was near train was near we used the bus and the lady driver was so helpful telling us when we needed to get off I would recommend this hotel there was a protest a couple of times out side the hotel but didn't interfere with our stay and I've booked to go back in October 2025

"Avoid the hotel! Expensive but filthy"
TripAdvisor user rating 1.0 out of 5

Hotel is filthy and incredibly run down, nothing at all like the pictures online. It’s clearly not been updated for years. Mattress was a health hazard. We complained and they moved us to another ‘renovated’ room which wasn’t much better. It had no hot water or climate control. Room was so hot I had to open the window which meant no sleep due to racket from the street below. Said they would fix it and but still had no hot water or temperature control when we got back from a day out. Tried to call reception and room phone wasn’t working either. Had to queue for over an hour to report it again. When the engineer finally came up he laughed saying we have to run the shower for 15mins to get any hot water - ridiculous! Room has been wired up wrong so we can’t have a reading lights on without the main lights. No bar, restaurant or cafe and ‘breakfast’ was worse than the bag meals I used to get the military / literally one piece of fruit a a small pastry. Absolutely not worth the £400 + per night - ruined what was meant to be a once in a life trip.
