  • Sessions are every 30 minutes and last for 60 minutes. Please arrive on time.
  • Visitors 4 and up will need a ticket.
  • Photography for personal use is allowed.
  • No food or beverage is allowed.
  • Children ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

  • Stiletto heels are not allowed.
  • It is not recommended for individuals with a family or personal history of epilepsy, anxiety, heart conditions, a history of seizures, and/or sensitivity to flashing lights.
  • All visitors ages 5 -11 are required to have at least one dose of a vaccine to enter the art space.
  • All visitors aged 12 and older are required to have two doses of a vaccine to enter the art space, except for those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine.
  • Face masks are required.

Jump into the metaverse at ARTECHOUSE DC for the 5th annual spring-inspired exhibition! This year ARTECHOUSE pushes the boundaries of immersive digital art, inviting visitors to traverse through a virtual world of cherry blossoms brought to life only at ARTECHOUSE. This immersive, interactive exhibition is open to all ages.

PIXELBLOOM merges the digital and physical worlds in a one-of-a-kind dynamic experience inspired by nature’s beauty. As you enter the main 22-minute audiovisual installation in the Immersion Gallery you’ll enter a journey that aims to breathe a new life into cherry blossoms in peak bloom through an explosion of vibrant colors and textures, intensifying the cherry blossom’s allure in a way that is only possible in a virtual environment.

What are the hours of operation?

Open daily. Monday – Thursday 1 PM – 9 PM. The last session begins at 8 pm. Friday - Sunday 10 AM – 10 PM. Last session begins at 9 pm. Sessions are every 30 minutes and last for 60 minutes. Please arrive on time.

Where is it located?

1238 Maryland Ave., SW Washington, DC 20024. A 5-10 minute walk from the Smithsonian and L’Enfant Plaza Metro stops.

Is the attraction appropriate for children?

ARTECHOUSE is happy to welcome visitors of all ages to enjoy the space, but certain exhibitions may include a recommended age due to the use of flashing lights, loud sounds, delicate materials, and the like. Because the exhibitions change throughout the year, it is suggested that visitors refer to the description of each new exhibition on the website for any age recommendations. Tickets are required for all visitors age 4 and up. Children ages 15 and under must be accompanied by an adult, and all children must be closely supervised by their accompanying adult to ensure their safety and the safety of the artwork.

Can I bring my bags and/or strollers with me? 

Suitcases, luggage, large backpacks, and bags larger than 16” are not permitted in the exhibit space and cannot be checked or left with staff. Strollers are not permitted on the main exhibition floor; however, at ARTECHOUSE  DC they can be left in the coatroom or locker area. Please note, these areas are not attended and ARTECHOUSE does not take any responsibility for any lost, missing, stolen, or damaged items.

Is the attraction wheelchair accessible?

ARTECHOUSE is a fully-accessible space. Mobility devices such as wheelchairs and walkers are allowed on the exhibition floor. Some individual programs may have an intended use or method of interaction that may be difficult for some visitors, but each is nonetheless fully maneuverable and compliant with the ADA. 

Can I bring my camera?

Photography for personal use is allowed, though we request that you refrain from using flash. 

How long is the tour?

Tickets are purchased for individual hour-long sessions. When space allows, visitors are welcome to remain with us past their hour-long session.

Can I bring my own food/beverages? 

To protect our technology on-site, outside food or beverages is not allowed inside the art space. Please dispose of any prior to your visit. Bottled water is permitted only in non-exhibit areas. No beverages are permitted on the main exhibition floor.
