"Six Flags MD ; Amazing Amusement Park"
June 2019 NEW
Overall, this trip was excellent. We got there around 9 AM, and we found there to be very short lines everywhere. The tickets were priced extremely well from Tripster, around 30% or so off the actual price, since Six Flags charges a "Convenience Fee" for whatever reason. The food there left a bit more to be hoped for, although the options were fairly vast. The rides were excellent and the people there were very helpful. Waterpark is also amazing, with a giant Wavepool and huge slides.

Tip: Get there early and go on Firebird and Batwing as soon as you get there. The lines get really long later in the day.

Seriously. So many ghetto killer looking people everywhere. Gangster looking people with face tattoos, pants sagging, with the most miserable looks on their faces. Nearly naked women walking around, breasts barely contained, butts out. Women screaming at children. Metal detectors and baggage x ray machines to get in. Police all around. Smoking in the bathrooms. Felt very unsafe. Ruined my day and left after the kids rode two rides. Daughter in tears. I couldn’t be more disappointed.

I live in the area and didn’t want to drive to Richmond to Kings Dominion. This place was good. Rides were great and the water park was probably the favorite attraction for the kids. Lines weren’t long at all not sure if that is a good thing for Six Flags but it was great for us as we literally didn’t wait long for anything. The food is way over priced but that isn’t unique to this park. Plan ahead if you want to avoid the food cost. I didn’t notice any security issues at all. It was a good family outing.

"After coming back from Disney and Universal..."

... unfortunately this park cannot compare. With that said, we bought a season pass that was the same cost as a 1 day so it was worth it. But even with that, each worker we have spoken to today was short and seemed irritated. Again, unfortunately we just visited Disney and Universal and those are the gold standard. We used to have season passes for Hershey Park in PA for the last few years so we decided to give Wild World (the old skool name) a try. Not as good as Hershey either, but again, the deal was too good to pass over.

"Almost perfect!"

I was hesitant to go here because of the reviews but we had an awesome time! Every employee was courteous (and some were really friendly). I guessed there might have been problems with line cutting, smoking, and profanity but there were signs and announcements that poor behavior would not be tolerated. We had no problems and I thought the park was clean (although not Disney clean). No crowds and we had almost no wait times (our longest wait was 10 minutes - we went on a Monday). I thought the thrill rides were awesome. I recently went to Universal in February and thought that was way too crowded (four rides in 8 hours due to wait times). If I had to choose again for thrill rides, I would go here over Universal any day.

First time for us at ‘Six Flags’. We went to the Maryland location. Very clean & Friendly Employees! Lots of rides for teens to go on and want to go on them again & again! All felt very safe through out the day. We packed a lunch & mid day went out to car to eat & go back in for more rides. The Water Park is loaded with families— little kids section was packed! Overall we all had a wonderful experience!!! We all will definitely go back!!
