"A Fun-filled Day"
August 2019 NEW
Six Flags America was a day filled with fun and many thrilled rides of a life time. The wait time to get on rides was not a long wait at all which. Booking with Tripster made our trip to Six Flags a very pleasant experience. Tripster was very easy to use and customer friendly.

"Really nice day!"
August 2019 NEW
This was my first time ever going to a six flags and I loved it! It was a lot of fun and it had amazing roller coasters! The only thing I didn’t love was that they would shut all the rides down if it even looked like it might start raining, which was quite a few times throughout the day. Tripster was really easy to use, offered us a great deal, and worked the same as any other ticket.

"Six Flags MD ; Amazing Amusement Park"
June 2019
Overall, this trip was excellent. We got there around 9 AM, and we found there to be very short lines everywhere. The tickets were priced extremely well from Tripster, around 30% or so off the actual price, since Six Flags charges a "Convenience Fee" for whatever reason. The food there left a bit more to be hoped for, although the options were fairly vast. The rides were excellent and the people there were very helpful. Waterpark is also amazing, with a giant Wavepool and huge slides.

Tip: Get there early and go on Firebird and Batwing as soon as you get there. The lines get really long later in the day.

"In dire need of revamping"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed September 18, 2019 NEW
Went to Maryland on a family vacation so spent a day here. Once in a lifetime to say we've been there but never again. It's so tired. It's so old. It's so dirty. It's all concrete. The staff are young local kids so really not very attentive to customers. The water park inside was better than the outside park but not by much - everything, everywhere is just dirty. Went into a shop looking at souvenir cups and found they were full of dust, so they'd been sitting there for awhile. The rides were jerky and we felt beat up and sore afterwards. Just not worth the time and money we spent there. This park should seriously consider closing a few months and revamping everything, maybe they'd get people to come back if the experience were improved.

I went to six flags America theme park on holiday and I can safely say that I had the worst experience of my life there. To start, the employees were extremely unfriendly and seemed to take ages in all the shops and drink stands. For the high price of the tickets I was expecting a good atmosphere at least however they all looked like they didn’t want to be there, which started the day off badly. We ordered fast tracks to skip the queues at the theme park, however the six flags fast track system is extremely outdated and involves you wearing these wrist bands which are really hard to operate. We had to Queue for them twice because the employee hadn’t explained to us how they work. The rides as six flags are also really dilapidated and run down. We went on a ride called the mind eraser which was a absolutely horrible experience and both my children felt sick and concussed after going on it. As well as this, the safety of the rides is questionable due to the age of the rides and the lazy employees. The only ride in the whole park I enjoyed was the superman ride. However none of this compared to the food and restaurants at the park. We went to a restaurant called chopsticks where the tables were extremely dirty and unsurprisingly hadn’t been cleared up by any of the employees. The queuing was really long and painful like the majority of the park. My daughter ordered some noodles and a vegetarian spring roll and my God did I make a mistake buying any food at this theme park. We had our flight later that evening so we all boarded the plane and my daughter spent the entire flight back to the UK continuously throwing up thanks to the poor hygiene of the restaurants at six flags. I was utterly disgusted with my experience at this park so I made a formal complaint to the manager but like the employees he/she has just ignored me. In conclusion, I can safely say this theme park is dilapidated, run down, unhygienic, dangerous and has terrible employees and management DO NOT GO TO THIS PARK. 😡

"HORRIBLE STAFF and Theme Park Experience!!!!!!!"

I was so excited to visit my first Six Flags EVER in Maryland! Turns out the hour train ride and the 40 minute bus ride we took was for nothing, because as soon we got there we were greeted by the RUDEST most LAZIEST employees I’ve ever had contact with. They didn’t want to be there and most importantly do there jobs correctly. Coming from someone who lives in Miami and is in the hospitality business in MIAMI BEACH and also deals with a variety of cultures and ethic backgrounds this experience left me appalled. It all started at the ticket window where I asked a simple question to purchase a ticket and was responded with “I’m closed, can’t you see there’s another window open, stop bothering me” I never in my life have ever been responded with such a sentence; first of all I’m the customer and should be treated and talked to differently, when I am the one spending my time and hard earned money at this park. Then came the security check where they manhandled me and my partner because of unknown reasons. I don’t know if it was because we were homosexual but I really didn’t add to the already unpleasant experience. The experience on the roller coasters was even worse with the rude, teenage and unexperienced staff that was managing them. From the SUPERMAN roller coaster where they basically yell at you, to the FIREBIRD roller coaster where the attendant grabbed my mothers purse without her permission, and not even giving a reason as to why she was even doing so. They then proceeded to talk about my family while we were about to take off on the ride. Next came WILD ONE roller coaster where they were basically complaining when their breaks were and NOT EVEN doing the correct SAFETY CHECK to make sure that I was buckled in correctly; god-forbid something we’re to happen to me or my partner because they didn’t follow CORPORATE PROTOCOL! If you are looking into vacationing to a water park/theme park stick to the Disney or Universal Studios properties, that you will NEVER EVER HAVE this kind of experience in your life. DO NOT GO to Six Flags Great America, save your money and go to another theme park that you are better off having a better time and spending your money wisely. I didn’t even want to rate them a one star, I would give them a NEGATIVE FIVE. I’m disgusted.

"Fun, but not outstanding!"

Six Flags America is not our home park, but we are Six Flags Gold season pass holders so our parking and admission was 0$. It's a great benefit to be a season pass holder, you can visit any Six Flags park in North America with it! I recommend buying it, great value for sure. In any event, the park is fairly charming and in good repair in most areas, but some areas should receive some TLC. We mostly rode the rollercoasters and they were fun, but not outstanding or highly themed, this is not Dollywood or Busch Gardens. The staff was generally aloof and distant, mind you it was 100F in a heat wave. Superman the ride is the star of the show here and it's a lot of fun (especially in the dark), it's an Intamin coaster so it's not surprising that it's awesome. Superman is located in a secluded part of the park surrounded by forest, quite the setting IMHO. Overall my rating of the park was quite good, but my free entry because of my season pass has a lot to do with it. Check this park out if you have a chance, especially if you have a Six Flags season pass!

One of the smaller six flags parks that doesn’t get a lot of love from corporate which is a shame, however, the park is charming. If you have a season pass or membership then it’s a good value and definitely a good park to revisit if you live in the area. The dry park needs a bit of improvement and a brand new coaster would be nice but they have a decent lineup. They also just announced a new flat ride for next season which looks promising.
