Visiting Sea Life Aquarium in San Diego soon? The aquatic attraction is an affordable and engaging things for families to do. Educational and entertaining, the aquarium provides up-close views of and interactions with marine life. Want to know more about my experience at Sea Life Aquarium San Diego? Read on.
I think the best value at Sea Life Aquarium is the LEGOLAND California and Sea Life Aquarium combo ticket. As the aquarium is located near the entrance of the LEGOLAND theme park, it’s easy to tour both as entrances are located inside out outside of the park gates. Even more, when you purchase the combo ticket admission to Sea Life Aquarium is half the price of a normal ticket.
Back to the topic at hand – visiting Sea Life Aquarium. Pick up a brochure when you arrive to note demonstrations you’d like to see. Take advantage of the opportunity to watch feeding demonstrations of seahorses and touch starfish and crabs at the Discovery Touch Zone Pool. Walk through the 35-foot long underwater tunnel, known as City of Atlantis, to see sharks swim above you and schools of tropical fish swim beside you. To add an interactive element to your visit, play along with the interactive quiz trail.
The aquarium displays at Sea Life San Diego are whimsical and different than I’ve ever seen as they star LEGOS. Kids, especially, like the underwater LEGO worlds that have been created. There are also LEGO displays throughout the rest of the attraction too. My favorite was the scuba diver, but they all add to the theme nicely.
A visit to Sea Life Aquarium can take as long you’d like. I’d recommend an hour fully take in the sights, allotting extra time for shows or demonstrations available. If you do choose to purchase the LEGOLAND and Sea Life Park Combo, it is important to note you can hop between the attractions. This way, you can come and go as you please. It makes for a great way to cool down on hot California days!
