Description

Step into 200 years of tradition at the Waikiki Luau, an evening celebration of Hawaiian culture featuring island flavors, lively music, and classic hula dancing—all in the heart of Waikiki. Located on the rooftop of the Royal Hawaiian Center and presented by the creators of the original Rock-A-Hula show, this luau offers unbeatable convenience, cultural value, and authentic hospitality just a short walk from major hotels.

The evening begins at 5:45 PM with a Luau Welcome with tropical Mai Tai. Guests are then treated to a seated, luau-style dinner served table-side beneath open-air cabanas. The buffet menu features Hawaiian favorites like whole roasted suckling pig, USDA prime roast beef, teriyaki chicken, and macadamia-crusted fish, along with vegan options such as passion fruit uala sweet potatoes, lomilomi salmon, poi rolls, and haupia. Family-style pineapple starters and an island-style dessert spread round out the meal, all accompanied by fresh Kona blend coffee and tea.

Live Hawaiian music sets the tone throughout dinner, while hula dancers perform traditional routines on stage. As the sun sets over Waikiki, guests are invited to join in a hula lesson—an interactive highlight that brings the spirit of aloha to life. The luau concludes by 7:30 PM, leaving plenty of time to enjoy Waikiki nightlife or a relaxing stroll along Kalakaua Avenue.

Whether you're a first-time visitor or returning to O?ahu, this affordable luau offers a meaningful, flavor-packed evening rooted in Hawaiian heritage.
