Just a two-minute walk from Waikiki Beach and Kuhio Beach Park, Waikiki Resort Hotel has an outdoor pool and terrace. Each room and suite includes a private balcony with ocean, mountain, or city views. A flat-screen cable TV, a work desk with an ergonomic chair, and tropical decor are featured in each room. A small refrigerator and coffee-making facilities are also included for convenience.

The Ilima Cafe, on-site, serves an American-style menu, featuring a breakfast buffet and sandwiches, ramen, and local specialties for lunch.

A 24-hour reception, concierge desk, and gift shop are available in the Waikiki Hotel Resort lobby. A 24-hour business center features internet access and multilingual computers (English, Japanese, and Korean). An on-site spa offers massage and beauty treatments.

The Waikiki Resort Hotel is anything but a resort. Don’t be fooled by the name it’s completely misleading. They charge a $45 “resort fee” for access to an outdated pool and worn-out facilities that desperately need renovation. The carpets are ripped, the décor is decades old, and nothing about the property feels worth the price. To make things worse, they also tack on another $45 per night for parking, bringing the total well above what this place deserves. For the amount they charge, you could easily stay somewhere far nicer in Waikiki with actual resort amenities and modern rooms. Overall, this was the worst experience of all my travels — overpriced, outdated, and disappointing. Save your money and stay elsewhere.

We loved our affordable stay at the resort. Family friendly with a mcdonalds next door, very helpful for our picky eater. A great selection of food vendors all within a block of the resort. We also enjoyed the onsite breakfast buffett.

From the moment of checking in by Suzi, it was so smooth. Complete disclosure and transparency of any fees and charges, what amenities the hotel offered apart from the rooms e.g. fitness classes, 2nd floor and the mezzanine. Housekeeping was amazing too, very approachable and able to assist with our needs. We even got complimentary breakfast as well, that was definitely a surprise and thank you. I would recommend staying there, good location, in between Kalakaua and Kuhio, main strip of Waikiki and the bus routes. Maccas and coffee shop around the corner and surrounded by ABC stores pretty good, can't complain.
