Just a two-minute walk from Waikiki Beach and Kuhio Beach Park, Waikiki Resort Hotel has an outdoor pool and terrace. Each room and suite includes a private balcony with ocean, mountain, or city views. A flat-screen cable TV, a work desk with an ergonomic chair, and tropical decor are featured in each room. A small refrigerator and coffee-making facilities are also included for convenience.

The Ilima Cafe, on-site, serves an American-style menu, featuring a breakfast buffet and sandwiches, ramen, and local specialties for lunch.

A 24-hour reception, concierge desk, and gift shop are available in the Waikiki Hotel Resort lobby. A 24-hour business center features internet access and multilingual computers (English, Japanese, and Korean). An on-site spa offers massage and beauty treatments.

No one helped with bags or greeted us on arrival. The pictures did not match the rooms. This hotel is outdated & the bathrooms were super small, there was nothing to place my hygiene products or make up bag on. No laundry bags. Patio door kept getting stuck. Sheets were super thin. No one explained any amenities or that there was a game rm & bar. Pool was disappointing & gym was a cry for help.

Liked · Pros: The location was block from the beach which was great. The check-in and check-out process was seamless and easy. The rooms were cleaned daily, no rats or other creatures. Pool towels easy to access and swap as often as you like. Bed were comfortable and they gave us a lot of pillows.. Disliked · Cons: The price of parking is expensive (but then so is most of Wakiki, but having to pay this "after" your booking feels like a punch in the stomache - rather add it to the room options, so it's paid upfront). The biggest con was a photos of the rooms.. They look reasonable and the beds look like a reasonable size, but the bed are actually twins. We asked if there were rooms with a queen and were very disappointed to hear the options were "2 x Twins" or "1 x King". We managed with 2 Adults and 2 Kids on a double Twin, but it wasn't very comfortable. Apparently we could upgrade for $200 USD a night to a room with a sleeper couch. Only some of the plugs worked in the room and the aircon didn't seem to make in difference to what value we set it to.. The parking (underground) was "tight". We often struggled to get a standard SUV into the bays if we arrived late. The rooms overall were very small as was the bathroom. Could also occasionally hear the traffic outside.

The morning exercise classes at the Waikiki Resort Hotel are truly outstanding and one of the absolute highlights of my stay. The instructors, Julia and Warm, are incredibly bright, positive, and genuinely kind. Their instructions are very clear and easy to follow, even for complete beginners. I personally have shoulder issues, and they thoughtfully showed me modified movements so I could participate safely and comfortably. Thanks to them, I was able to keep up my workout routine throughout my trip—something I’ve never been able to do while traveling before. This alone felt like the best perk of staying at this hotel. Starting each day in Hawaii with yoga, Pilates, or stretching right on Waikiki Beach feels truly special and lucky. Everything you need is provided by the instructors—all you have to do is show up and enjoy. I can’t recommend these classes enough. They added so much value, care, and joy to my stay. Thank you, Julia and Warm!
