Just a two-minute walk from Waikiki Beach and Kuhio Beach Park, Waikiki Resort Hotel has an outdoor pool and terrace. Each room and suite includes a private balcony with ocean, mountain, or city views. A flat-screen cable TV, a work desk with an ergonomic chair, and tropical decor are featured in each room. A small refrigerator and coffee-making facilities are also included for convenience.

The Ilima Cafe, on-site, serves an American-style menu, featuring a breakfast buffet and sandwiches, ramen, and local specialties for lunch.

A 24-hour reception, concierge desk, and gift shop are available in the Waikiki Hotel Resort lobby. A 24-hour business center features internet access and multilingual computers (English, Japanese, and Korean). An on-site spa offers massage and beauty treatments.

The hotel may be in walking distance to the beach though I believe ones comfortable of being in a clean atmosphere and clean room should matter as well. There’s a resort fee though the hotel should be able to stand up to those standards. Breakfast is good surprisingly not such a continental though the older gentleman who greets you at the door should take some notes from the waiters whom seem to be more friendlier and sincere. The morning that I left while waiting for my shuttle I was able to view the hotel across the way on how they maintained their cleanliness and the front desk literally stood at the counter at 4 am and not in the back office on their phone.

The staff is very nice but I wouldn’t stay there again. The hotel is woefully outdated. The furniture is threadbare, the beds were uncomfortable and the towels are like sandpaper. I also was quite disappointed that the walls are paper thin and noise outside the hotel sounded like it was inside. I was kept awake on New Year’s Eve until 2 am due to loud parties in other hotels! I couldn’t believe how loud it sounded inside! The pool area is also quite dismal. Overall, a 2 out of 10.

Location: Amazing! Hotel was good but dated, room could use a bit of an overhaul- a deep clean of vents and carpets and some new caulking would do wonders. Was disappointed that because I booked on a 3rd party site we did not get the “included” breakfast, even though we paid the same as booking direct. Overall was good and would go back!

I stayed here for the Honolulu Marathon. The location was excellent, and the staff were very kind and welcoming, which made me feel a strong sense of hospitality. Although the hotel itself is a bit old, I had a very satisfying experience overall. If I had to mention one thing, it would be even better if the breakfast menu had a bit more variety.
