We loved our visit to the USS Midway. I mean, where else can you actually get on a battleship. My love and pride for our military went up a few notches after seeing it. It’s close to Seaport Village so you can do both.

"Well organized, well put together"

We thought we would only need a few hours, but we were the first on the ship and we stayed all day. Take the little speaker thing they give you when you first walk in. They did a really nice job of making small pieces of information come to life with first hand experiences of the men who lived it. Also sit and listen to the guys in the yellow hats. So informative and interesting. The movie was better than expected.

Tip: go to the tour of "the Island" first. go through all the small parts of the ship -- so much to see.

"No seasickness here!"
December 2018
We prebought our tickets and moved right along. For as long as the lines were, there was plenty of room to pause and take pictures. Seeing the demonstrations at top deck was very informative. The kids enjoyed sitting in the planes and helicopters. Walking thru the gully’s to see sleeping quarters, kitchen and laundry was great. Would return again.

"Midway : A Unique Experience"
December 2018
When we planned our trip to San Diego , visiting USS Midway was on the top of all things to do . Reserve San Diego provided a great discount on the entry ticket which no other site provided and it was much better than the one provided on USS Midway site or in person. It was a smooth sailing with my mobile e ticket and easy check in . The ship was full of interesting exhibits and I also took the free guided tour inside - which was so informational. It was a nice sunny breezy day in San Diego and the scenic views from the deck were amazing ! Definitely worth the price and thanks to Reserve San Diego , we had a great time aboard !

This is a wonderful museum. Using the audio really brings the story of the Midway to life. There is so much to see and at various points there are docents to explain or ask questions. There were also mannequins throughout the ship which was interesting. Also there was one who was real and caused me to jump. I could have stayed here longer.

Followed Trip Advisor to the Midway Museum. Museum is thoughtfully laid out for efficient entering, touring, eating, buying, and exiting. Historic aspects are well depicted by real equipment, static displays, and videos. Just walking around the various desks of the aircraft carrier was informative and gives a real sense of the power a carrier is able to project. The courage of the men who served during the viet nam war is accurately explained. A very well thought out museum.

Even if you’re not a military history buff, this is a wonderful place to visit. Really interesting. Save time to visit the planes on the flight deck - there are often veterans there as volunteers to tell you everything you’d like to know.

This is a must see when visiting San Diego. We spent about 4 hours here and probably could have spent another hour. Lots of walking involved with some stairs. This museum is well done and taken care of. Lots of helpful, knowledgeable volunteers to add to the experience. I cant say enough good things about this museum. Everyone should visit it at least once. Veterans and active military get in free.
