"We would definitely stay here again"

We stayed at the property for 3 nights and really enjoyed our time. The check –in was quick and uncomplicated. We have received a map and recommendations for things to do in the area as well as dinner. The room had everything we needed and was very clean. I made use of the complimentary yoga session that was offered at the hotel and the bike hire. The gym was good equipped. We loved the location as it was walking distance to Gaslamp. The zoo, wharf and little Italy was easy to reach via the scooters that are available in San Diego. We also made use of the happy hour in the bar and tried nice local craft beer. It was the most comfiest bed on our 3 week trip! We would definitely stay here again.

"Small rooms, Broken features, Below Average Service"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

We stayed here recently for a convention in SD. The room was so small you could not move, there is no way two people could move in the room at the same time. The A/C continues to not work, and the room was always around 76 degrees. The Beds were HARD AS ROCKS and I did not sleep well the entire trip - so annoying. The stopper to the sink broke but they did fix that. The door handle to enter the room kept breaking and at one point I had trouble entering my room. The staff at the desk seemed unconcerned for anyone’s comfort, and the housekeeping staff blocked hallways (completely). Elevators were difficult to get when housekeeping was working as they occupied them with their carts, leaving the guest to have to wait for the other elevator (there are only two). The stay was average at best. I travel weekly and am usually fine in a Hampton inn but this was below that quality.

"Double bed room too small"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5

3 total people in my group. Room we were assigned to was too small and would be good for 1 person. AC did not work properly. In the middle of the night I had to get up because it was too hot and walk around the hall way just to cool down.

"Best Historical Hotel I Have visited....."

What a great experience of a historical hotel. Living in Placerville, Ca where we have alot of historical hotels. I was amazed on how well you preserve the history. The fact that you make me write a 200 letter review is not what I wanted to do and forcing people to do so will not get you any better reviews but negative ones.
