We had great seats. The performance was great. The costumes, the set, and the music were all amazing. This show is great for all ages. The play is very similar to The Lion King cartoon with some adjustments to keep it current.

"Amazing Performance"
April 2016
This is highly recommended for all ages. The costumes in the show are so creative and each actors character seems to fit their personality. The Lion King cartoon and this play are very similar, but it's still a tear jerker when Mufasa dies... The theater check-in was really easy with Reserve Direct E-ticket. The ushers are very helpful with getting you to your seats. One person in our group left their phone after the show and the theater had it waiting for us to pick-up the next day.

"The Show was amazing but actors seemed distant during autographs"

We recently attended this show while in NY and we are so pleased that we did. The venue was beautiful. The stage was magnificent with so many moving parts and intricacies. The costumes were amazing. The cast did a wonderful job during the production and seemed very committed to their parts. However, at the conclusion of the show, many people were waiting for autographs and few of the cast members (and the parents of the children) seemed put out for having to sign autographs. It should be mentioned that the people in line for autographs are the same people paying your salary and sitting in the seats so take a few minutes and appease them.

It was the first time for my family to be in NYC and my wife always wanted to see The Lion King, so I bought the tickets online, third category, on a Thursday evening and it was perfect. The entire experience. From picking up the tickets at the booth, the small amount of time you have to stay in line, even that the line seems to be endless, but it is fast, the seat selection and what you can see, it was perfect, you feel you are part of it. The sound, the costumes, I still get goosebumps, thinking back, I will never forget the eyes of my two children, 4 and 10, during the entire show , they were so fascinated, knowing the movie, they were so happy seeing it actually in front of their eyes. The temperature inside the theater is good, not to cold but also not too warm. The dress-code is from very casual to jacket and tie, I guess it is up to you. We can just recommend it and give it a: MUST SEEN

This is THE show to see while in NYC. If you only choose one, make it this one. The story and the performances will take your breath away. Good for all ages though there are some scary moments which might frighten younger children.

"Spectacular!! Must see"

This is by far the best of the best musicals in the world, both according to statistics and to my opinion.  I have seen it for the third time (2000, 2010, 2019) and once again was deeply impressed.  First of all – costumes.  They are just impossible to describe – you see real size elephant and giraffe, rhino and cheetah, almost live birds and antilopes.  How they do it!?!? Everything is so well-thought, all minor details, dancing, moving, interaction. Then, of course the songs – classical Lion King Disney music reinforced by several other songs (also great), world class singers and actors.  Tears come to your eyes right after you see the first episode and throughout the whole performance you almost stop breathing.  Emotions, tension, excitement – this is all you feel every second of the performance.  No wonder this is the best musical in the world.  It is surely a must if you are in Manhattan.
