Description

From the creative team behind the Tony Award-winning In The Heights comes a wildly inventive new musical about the scrappy young immigrant who forever changed America: Alexander Hamilton.

Tony, Grammy, and Emmy Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda wields his pen and takes the stage as the unlikely founding father determined to make his mark on a new nation as hungry and ambitious as he is. From bastard orphan to Washington's right-hand man, rebel to war hero, loving husband caught in the country's first sex scandal to Treasury head who made an untrusting world believe in the American economy, HAMILTON is an exploration of a political mastermind.

George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Eliza Hamilton, and lifelong Hamilton friend and foe, Aaron Burr, all attend this revolutionary tale of America’s fiery past told through the sounds of the ever-changing nation we’ve become.
Tony Award nominee Thomas Kail directs this new musical about taking your shot, speaking your mind, and turning the world upside down.

This show is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including intermission. Recommended for ages 10 and up. Children under the age of 4 are not permitted in the theatre.

Today my wife and I went to Buell Theater in Denver to see the musical "Hamilton". .....What a disgusting experience! On the 30th second I was sure I will not watch it and listen it. it is a ...RAP and Hip Hop. UGLY to a point that I plugged my years with napkins. Brrrr. Scenic performance.... ?!? WHY? PLEASE WHY? Actors playing historic times from 18th century ....RAPPING !?!? DISGUST! I stood it 80 minutes and left after the first act. I really enjoyed the fresh air in downtown and the peacefully quiet place. In theater was like in s jumbo-jet engine. TERRIBLE LOUD RAP. Please people save your money and health. ............... My wife watched the entire show and liked it. I am not going to Buell theater again. ENOUGH is ENOUGH.

For me, this musical is innovative, exciting and relevant, and has evolved within theater and popular culture. Its effective tool changes the way stories are told to new generations and helps reflect on the events surrounding the main character. It has impressive performances and overall I loved it.

My husband and I went to see Hamilton and we were blown away. I had originally planned to see Wicked for the second time but the times didn't work out and was happy to see Hamilton instead. It was amazing I am so happy we ended up watching this on Broadway. I cried, laughed and genuinely felt the energy and passion of all the cast. I want to go back again already. Luckily, the full Broadway soundtrack is on youtube music and I have had it on repeat since. Only con is the drinks are about $30 each and the line for the women's restroom was wild BUT it is super organized and they have about 5 staff members organizing the line so everyone made it in and out during intermission.

We saw Hamilton on a New York holiday (we’re Australians). We were warned that the plot is complex and the dialogue fast and complicated, so we watched Hamilton on a streaming service a few times before going, to learn the story. We loved the live performance in New York! One of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences of our lives.
