Description

from Sunset Cruise and Night Manta Swim
Join us for our 1.5-hour evening boat trip out of Keauhou Harbor to enjoy the beautiful Kona coastline and Sunset, as we await the mantas arrival. You will travel a short distance to learn some history and culture of the area, view wildlife along the coast and enjoy snacking on a fresh fruit and sushi platter as the sun fades over the ocean. Then as night falls, we return to the original "Manta Village" to witness the majestic manta rays come to feed on the abundant buffet of phytoplankton that appears with the glow of underwater dive lights.

Slide into the alluring Pacific Ocean, buoyed by our light board and accompanied by our dive guide to experience the thrill of having giant manta rays gracefully glide and swoop through the waters all within inches of you. Back on board, complete your breathtaking experience with some warm green tea on the short ride back to the Keauhou pier.

On the rare occasion you don't see any manta rays on your sunset snorkel tour, you can join us again for a free on the next available scheduled tour (pending space availability).

It was amazing. Dolphins were not there the but we were able to come back the next day and this time dozens of them were all around us. The group is small and allow us to discover more. Highly recommand.

This was by far the most amazing experience of our trip. And as quoted by our soon to be 16year old daughter… Coolest thing she has seen in her life. Cassie and Bambi were awesome. This was a small group of only five of us which was perfect. Not like other tours that had 15 to 20 people or more with them. Time flew by faster than we ever imagined. With so many sightings and manta rays spanning 12 feet within inches of our face. Cassie and Bambi were awesome. This was a small group of only five of us which was perfect. We had 2 groups go out with Bambi and her team on Sunday July 16th. A group of 4 sailed at 6:30 to watch the sunset and then circled around to dive with manta rays. Our group sat at the lookout point at the Sheraton and had a drink while waiting for them to return. They had a great time! The 2nd group of us were 6 who went out later (8pm) to hang with the mantas. The crew had wetsuits to fit all of us. Before and during the experience they told us so much interesting information about these amazing creatures. Don't miss out on this experience of watching the manta rays in the water- it is a once in a lifetime! Book with Kona Ocean Experience- you won't regret it!!
