Description
Guests embarks on a 1.5-hour evening boat trip from Keauhou Harbor to take in the scenic Kona coastline and sunset while waiting for the arrival of majestic manta rays. Along the way, a local guide shares stories about the region’s history and culture, and guests can enjoy light refreshments, including a fresh fruit and sushi platter, as the sun sets over the Pacific. After dark, the boat returns to Manta Village to witness manta rays feeding on the phytoplankton illuminated by underwater dive lights—a remarkable snorkeling encounter on the Island of Hawaii.
Participants then slip into the calm Pacific Ocean, supported by a floating light board, to observe these gentle giants gliding gracefully just inches away. The evening concludes with warm green tea served on board during the short cruise back to Keauhou Pier.
In the rare event that no manta rays are seen during the tour, participants are invited to join another scheduled tour free of charge, subject to availability.
