We spent a morning zipping in the canopy here, as a present for my teenage son. I was a little uneasy at the idea, but wanted to give him a treat, and it was a big success. I want to applaud the guides for their constant attention to safety, and enduring good cheer. All the equipment is clearly solid, with multiple layers of redundant safety. They also pay close attention to the weather, and will cancel if the winds are too high. In fact that happened on our first attempt and we rescheduled. Go early in the morning to be most sure of beating the wind. The zipping itself is a lot of fun, but if you have a serious fear of heights you might want to think twice as you are around 100’ off the ground most of the time as you zip from tree to tree. The only truly unnerving part for me was one of the 4(?) suspension bridges we walked over. All were a little wobbly but one had a whole lot of open space between treads, making for a slightly scary couple of minutes, even though you are clipped in the whole time. And of course it was wet and a bit windy. Not insurmountable, even for this chicken, but scary for sure. A particular shout out to Joshua who did a truly superb job of explaining exactly what to do at each point. Thanks!

We booked this for Christmas Day! Maholo to the staff that had to work on Christmas Day! We had a great crew from our driver BooBoo to our zip guides Newi and Annabelle. It was a bit scary at first, but after the 2nd zip we all felt better. One of our group was very afraid of heights and the guides were great with him especially Newi!

First off, Groupon has GREAT offers. Second off, when you book ask for Curtis and Booboo as your guide/instructors. Very VERY knowledgeable about Kohala history, funny and friendly like two brothers. If you're afraid of heights, you get over it VERY fast and don't realise it after the 2nd run. Curtis and Booboo keep your attention and next thing you know you're flying and the fear is gone and you're zipline-ing like a pro. You've gotta do it, I swear you'll love it!

Mike & Sage were great guides. They are very safety-conscious whether it be the equipment or health concerns (husband carries an EpiPen and they had a special strap for him to wear to make it easily accessible if needed). We did the canopy adventure tour (keep your eyes open for Groupon vouchers!). We had a blast. A beautiful, gorgeous day in Hawi. Great views and the rainforest is fascinating. So do it; just go for it.

This was a fantastic experience. Our tour guides were very knowledgeable, safety conscious, and very personable. I was afraid of heights going in but I felt very safe with all the harnesses securing me to the steel cables and the expertise of the guides put me at ease. Ziplines, foot bridges, and even a rappel at the end. If you’re traveling with your spouse the last zipline is a double zipline so you can go together at the same time and race to the end if you want. We rented a Go-Pro to get the video footage. They also take pictures of you during the course which you can purchase at the end.
