This is one of the most beautiful places I have ever been to. the view from above is absolutely stunning. You can get a 360-degree view of the entire city and even some of the outskirts. And best of all, there is a glass box that suspends from the tower into the middle of nowhere. You can stand on the glass box appreciating mankind's ability to defy laws of gravitation. You will remember this trip forever till your last breath.

"Great view of Chicago"
August 2019 NEW
Excellent views from the top of the Willis Tower. It had been about thirty years since I last visited Chicago and I made sure to take my daughter to see the beautiful views from the 103rd floor of the Willis (old Sears) Tower. We did visit on the weekend of Lollapalooza so it was very packed. We spent about three hours total in order to get to the top. But it was well worth it. Recommend this and you won't regret it. Hope you enjoy it. Thanks to Tripster for the discounts.

Tip: Make sure that you download your tickets on your phone prior to getting to the Willis tower. Internet connection and the Wifi there is very unpredictable.

"Amazing view!"
August 2019 NEW
Awesome experience! Amazing views! The line was about 20 minutes down stairs and another wait of 20 minutes or so for the ledge so plan for 1 hour to 1.5 hours for your visit. This is totally worth the wait. The view at night is supposed to be wonderful as well.

"A must-do for the Chicago experience"
July 2019
My family is from Chicago but I moved years ago for work. So when my wife, child and I came back to visit, I knew this was a required stop for them. I can't say enough how great the Willis (uh, Sears) tower and skydeck experience was. Getting g tickets on Tripster saved us over 50%!!
Get tickets here and arrive on time as the skydeck opens to avoid lines for the elevator up. Just FYI, Parking is available directly across from the entrance, but you will pay for the convenience.

It’s a long, long, long wait before you can step on the deck, which are so few in numbers. Always carry a stroller for the kids. Don’t come if you cannot stand for an hour at least , or pay extra to skip the line. The views are great, and so is the wait.

Saturday night waited for an hour or so, didn’t expected that the line goes around and around until you reach the elevator. Not a nice experience, lucky it was on the city pass but the skydeck 360 much better during the week.

My wife and I Visited the sky deck in August. We got there at 8:20 in the morning. There was already 10 people in line. We were on the second elevator up. The ride up is pretty fast. They will put as many people as they can in the elevator so it is very cramped. We immediately went over to the skybox before it got too crowded. The skybox was the best part. Walking out onto the glass feels funny. Your mind thinks you should drop but you don’t. I’m not scared of heights so after that it was just a view. They took our picture then allowed us 1 min to do what ever. I recommend having your camera ready. Before you know it the alarm is going off and you must exit the box. We then tried to walk around. The floor had already gotten supper crowded. Most people waited for a spot to look out. Others however thought they were the only ones there.

We caught the train into Union station then it was just a short walk to the Willis Tower. The entrance is around the side and there is a security check. There was a short queue for the lift which takes you all the way to the top. As our tickets weren’t restricted to a particular day we chose a sunny one to make sure we got great views of Chicago. Walking around was easy and not to crowded. We had to queue about 20 minutes to go on the glass ledges but the shots we got were amazing. We got about 2 minutes on the glass ledge before we had to move on. All in all a great experience.

This was absolutely breath taking! We chose to do the fast past which was awesome! We maybe waited 20 minutes as opposed to the 2 hour wait time for normal tickets. The sky deck is really cool to step out on and take pictures
