Skydeck Chicago is located on the 103rd floor of the Willis Tower at 233 S Wacker Dr, Chicago, IL 60606. The entrance is located on Jackson Boulevard, on the south side of Willis Tower.
Plan to spend 1.5 to 2 hours at Skydeck Chicago, depending on how much you want to see and do. Visits are self-guided and you can stay at the observation deck as long as you like.
Last entry is 30 minutes prior to closing time.
It is recommended to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled reservation time.
For an optimal experience on busy days, parties of five or fewer will share The Ledge with another group for a maximum of 90 seconds. Parties of six or more will have 90 seconds per group.

Before reaching the Skydeck, you walk through a really well-done museum-style exhibit about Chicago’s history, architecture, and the building itself. Then you get to the main attraction — The Ledge. Even though the line looked long, it moved surprisingly fast and efficiently. We actually got to go on the ledge and take photos about four different times!
They take one professional photo of you from above, and then you get 90 seconds to take your own pictures. At the end, they give you a card with a scan code where all of your photos get uploaded. You can choose up to three free e-postcard photos, with additional purchase options if you want more.
Overall, it was such a fun and memorable experience. The views were breathtaking, even though it was raining during our visit — honestly, the rain made the city lights look so cool. It is a bit pricey, but definitely worth it for a special experience you don’t do every day. We already want to go back on a clear day to take more photos together and maybe frame a few!
