Zip lining over monstrous gators is awesome! Make sure you are wearing closed-toe shoes and those that won't slip off your feet. Don't forget to look down to see huge alligators.

"What a great place!"

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and spent hours walking around. My grandsons loved the zip line and feeding the alligators and the best part was them sitting on the live alligator for a picture after a fantastic show where the guy wrestled the alligator - awesome. My suggestion is to buy the enhanced ticket that includes the alligator experience and hurry down at the end of the show to get a good place in line. This place was really interesting and a good tip is to make sure you walk past the splash park to the buildings at the far side and see the tortoises and the baby alligators- easy to miss! This attraction is well worth the money!

Gatorland was fun and a break from the large parks. There were live shows, all kinds of animals and of course alligators. They have a fun monster truck ride and a train that takes you around the whole park. We enjoyed it very much. Reasonable price.

"Capybara Experience excellent, the rest was a mix of good and bad"
TripAdvisor user rating 3.0 out of 5

I'm a little conflicted writing this review. We visited Gatorland primarily because my daughter has a bit of a Capybara obsession, and Gatorland have a "meet a Capybara" experience. Let's start with the good. The Capybara experience was excellent, with plenty of opportunities to interact with them and it was very reasonably priced at $12 per person. As with everything in Florida, everything costs extra, so be prepared to pay extra for the photos. The alligator pools, on the whole, were fairly well sized and the feeding experience was fun. There's plenty of other animals around the park, which was surprisingly large, with giant Tortoises, bobcats, snakes and reptiles. The swamp walk was also surprisingly fun. Now for the not so good. The food was pretty terrible, bordering on inedible. Everything in Gatorland is designed to extract more money out of you, so be prepared for an expensive day. And the worst part, the gator shows just felt wrong. Taping a gator's jaws shut so you can sit on it's back like it's a trophy just feels bad. We really did not enjoy the exploitative feel to the shows. For a park that likes to shout about it's conservation efforts, this felt a bit hypocritical. However, overall, it was a good day, even if a little expensive, and the Capybara experience was a 10/10 hit.
