Description

The Queen of Versailles brings the true story of Jackie Siegel’s rise from beauty queen to billionaire socialite to the Broadway stage with bold theatrical flair. Set against the backdrop of the 2008 financial crisis, the musical follows Jackie and her husband, David, as they attempt to build the largest private home in America—modeled after the Palace of Versailles—only to face a dramatic reversal of fortune.

Stephen Schwartz’s new score pairs soaring melodies with biting wit, while Lindsey Ferrentino’s book offers sharp social insight into ambition, excess, and resilience. Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth stars as Jackie Siegel, delivering a powerhouse performance that anchors the production’s emotional core. F. Murray Abraham joins the cast as David Siegel, adding depth and gravitas to the show’s central conflict.

Directed by Michael Arden, the production blends visual spectacle with intimate character moments.
