This is such a great way to experience Manhattan from a very different view point. The guys were absolutely brilliant from start to finish. Came back really promptly when trying to book and answered all my question. All your safety equipment is included in the price and excellent quality. Having never jet skied before they were really great and reassuring with me. My only advise is - this is a ‘high speed’ tour and consider this when booking if you have any nervous nellies in your group! We went in November and lucked out with the weather. Definitely one of the highlights of our trip and worth every penny. Thanks Sea City tours

Wife and I are flight attendants....had a long layover and thought....walk around the city with millions of people or just do our own thing. Did some research and found this place....we have rented jet skis all over the country. We talked to many passengers from New York and they had no idea it was possible to do this on the Hudson! We loved it...a bit rough but ...wow...will do it again. It’s a miracle on the Hudson!!!😂😂😂. As to the photo package....buy it before you get there as you get a discount. Which package to buy? I say the full package but be prepared...photo we’re kinda grainy but the go-Pro video was so great. All around great time with a professional staff....thanks Sea the City!!👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️make sure to take a brief swim....so you can say you did it!

If you only have one thing to do go and jet ski around NY. It is very powerful jetskies, you see all around the place and everyone just loves it Only thing I'd comment: the pictures they take are from an iPhone and uploaded to google cloud. Charging 30usd for it is too much. Otherwise it is the best thing to do!

Had a friend visiting from out of town and wanted to give him a unique perspective of NYC far, far away from the hordes of tourists. What better way than to hop on a high-power jet ski and zooming away from them? Our tour guides were Eileen and Mel, who couldn't have been more nice and helpful during this experience. We did the Statue of Liberty and Brooklyn Bridge tour. Despite the busy boat traffic of the harbor, I felt safe with our guides. They made sure we stayed together and had a good time. At each site, our lead guide took multiple pictures of each rider so there's a ton to choose from for what you'll inevitably post on Instagram. Phones aren't allowed out on the water but GoPros are allowed if you have a head or chest harness. PRO TIP: Make sure you strap the GoPro high up on your chest or your video will have a whole lot of handlebar. Between each site there's plenty of time to pull the throttle and zoom (safely) if you're up for it. Overall, this was a great experience that I would absolutely do again. This might be the most fun thing I've done as a local and definitely recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions about Jet Ski NYC

Where do I meet for the tour?
Meet at Liberty Landing Marina. Parking is available on-site. Come down “D” dock and Sea the City is at the end of the dock by the white house with the large red “fuel” sign.

What is the minimum age to go on a jet ski tour?
The minimum age to operate a jet ski is 18 years old. You must be 16 or older to ride along with your parent or legal guardian.

Do I need jet ski experience to enjoy the tour?
No. Jet skis are very simple to operate and comfortable to drive. Our licensed instructors give a short safety briefing before we depart and are always close by while out on the water. The first few minutes are within a no wake zone (5 mph speed limit) where you will get the feel of it before you start to accelerate out in the open water.

Is there a place for customers to change before the tour?
Yes. The marina has facilities to change or use the restroom.

Are lockers available or is there a place to keep our belongings?
Yes. We provide a free and secure space to lock up your belongings. You DO NOT need to provide your own lock.

Will the tour run in the rain?
Rain is not the only weather that can prevent us from being able to take a tour out. Weather and water conditions can be dangerous even if it appears to be a beautiful day out. If the weather or water conditions are unsafe we will reschedule your tour. We do not always know in advance, so please if you are concerned about the conditions give us a call and ask.

Is there a tour guide?
Yes. We provide only guided tours. Our licensed guides are on their own jet ski, while you drive another. A tour consists of a group of several jet skis which stay within a reasonable distance to the guide.

How many people can ride a jet ski?
We will allow 1 or 2 people on one jet ski, provided the combined weight of the riders is under 350 pounds, although it is easier to maneuver with one person on a jet ski.

Can we switch riders during the tour?
If both individuals are 18 years of age or older, yes.

What should I wear?
We highly recommend wearing your bathing suit. During the colder months, we offer complimentary wetsuits and water boots available for anyone that would like them.

Do I need to sign a waiver?
Yes. It is a requirement that all individuals participating sign a waiver. A waiver will be emailed to each participant for electronic signature prior to your tour.

Is there a weight limit for the jet skis?
Yes. The combined weight of riders must not exceed 350 lbs.

How fast can I go on a jet ski?
Jet skis can get up to 55 mph. We only ask you stay within sight of your tour guide.

Do I need to wear a life vest?
Yes. Both tour operators and guests must wear life vests.

What if I fall off the jet ski?
If you should fall off, the emergency cut off switch will disable the PWC and your life vest will keep you afloat while you reboard from the rear of the jet ski.
