Where does the cruise depart?

The San Diego Dinner Cruise departs from the Grape Street Pier at Pier 1, Hornblower Landing located at 1800 N Harbor Dr, San Diego, CA 92101. Check in at the ticket booth prior to boarding.

How long is the cruise?

The cruise lasts approximately 3 hours. Boarding time is 30 minutes prior to departure. Please allow time for finding parking and walking to the loading dock.

Are there any age restrictions on the cruises?

There are no age restrictions for their cruises. Children ages 3 and under can join the cruise for free. Please note that all minors require adult supervision.

Is there parking?

City Cruises does not own or operate any parking lots in the area, but pay-to-park options are available nearby, located on Navy Pier, next to the USS Midway.

Is the ship wheelchair accessible?

This cruise offers limited wheelchair accessibility. Access to outer decks is by stairs only and not wheelchair accessible.

What is the dress code for this cruise?

The dress code is cocktail attire, including collared shirts, blouses, sports coats, slacks and dresses. A cozy sweater or warm jacket is recommended.

What should I bring?

Bring your valid photo ID if you are 18 years old and above. If you're planning to have alcoholic drinks, you'll also need your ID to prove you are of drinking age. Take advantage of the sights and photo opportunities during the cruise, so have your smartphone or camera handy.

Is there pre-assigned seating for dinner cruises?

The captain and marine crew will direct you to your deck as you board the yacht. From there the host/hostess will show your party to your assigned table(s). Decks are never guaranteed to non-private groups. Seats are assigned based on needs and capacity for each cruise.

Will I get my own table?

Yes, you will be seated at a private table.

Are there vegetarian options available for dinner cruises? Can I make a special menu request?

Yes, for dining cruises, vegetarian meals are available and can be arranged at the time of booking. They can also accommodate most other special dietary needs with advance notice. Please make a note at time of booking with any special requests, or call the number on your e-ticket prior to your cruise date.

Is smoking allowed?

No, sorry. Smoking is not allowed on any harbor tours.

Can I bring an outside cake on board?

Cakes may be brought on board, however, you will be charged a cake-cutting fee of $1.50- $3.00 per person. Please note that only flameless or LED birthday candles are allowed on board.

Will I get seasick?

The vast majority of guests experience no discomfort at all as they do not leave the calm waters of the harbor. If you tend to have a problem with motion sickness, you may experience seasickness. If you are prone to motion sickness, consider taking advantage of a number of preventative measures that are available to you.

What happens if it rains or snow?

This cruise sails rain or shine. In the case of severe weather conditions or upon the direction of the U.S. Coast Guard, the vessel will remain dockside, but provide the full dining service.

Is this cruise regulated by the U.S. Coast Guard?

The vessels are subject to inspections by the U.S. Coast Guard and have licensed crew members onboard. They also follow Maritime Security (MARSEC) guidelines.

Is gratuity included?

A service charge is collected at the time of reservation, related to the cruise and the service included in the ticket. If you wish to purchase additional beverages or food enhancements onboard, they recommend you leave a gratuity onboard based on the quality of service provided to you by your server.
