How long is the tour?This Canyonlands National Park helicopter tour has two tour options ranging from 45 minutes to one hour depending on the option selected.
When should we arrive?Please arrive at least 20 minutes prior to your scheduled departure time.
Does this tour have any weight restrictions?This tour has a maximum per-seat weight limit of 300 lbs (136 kg).
Is this tour age-appropriate?All ages are welcome on Redtail's flights. Children over 24 months must sit in their own seats. Booster pillows are provided if needed.
What if I get sick on the helicopter flight?Paper bags are available on all Redtail's flights for passengers feeling queasy. Support bands are available at check-in upon request. Bring anti-nausea medication if you are prone to motion sickness.
What will I see during this helicopter flight?The 45-minute tour offers views of Dead Horse Point State Park, the Colorado River, Thelma and Louise Point, the Potash Ponds, and the Island in the Sky District of Canyonlands National Park. You'll also fly over many backcountry arches. The extended Canyonlands tour (one-hour) option includes everything you see on the 45-minute flight, plus iconic sites in Castle Valley, as well as the world-famous Hell's Revenge Jeep Trail and Otho Natural Bridge.
Are pets allowed on flight?Sorry, per FAA regulations, pets are not allowed on the helicopter. Service animals are allowed with proper documentation indicating that the animal is a service animal.
Is there parking?Parking is available at the airport free of charge.
What should we wear?Comfortable clothes and a light jacket is recommended.
What should we bring?Water, a light jacket, a camera, and sunscreen.
What if I'm running late?Redtail's aircraft are scheduled for exact departure times, however, they will do their best to accommodate passengers who are running late. Please call them at the number on your e-ticket if you are running late.
Can we bring alcohol?No, alcohol is not allowed on Redtail's aircraft.
How many people can fit in a tour?The minimum number of passengers on a flight is two and the maximum is 3 people per tour.
Is the onboard narration available in other languages?Redtail Air welcomes all ethnicities on their flights. However, their guided flights are narrated in English only.
Is this tour accessible for persons with disabilities?For passengers who may need special assistance, please make a note of any special requests in the tickets' comment section above when booking your reservation.
Will there be bathroom breaks?Redtail's helicopters do not contain restrooms, so please use the restrooms in the terminal prior to your scheduled departure.
What is the tipping policy?Tips are entirely at a passenger’s discretion, however, if you received great service on your flight then Redtail's pilots will certainly appreciate a gratuity!
What's the weather policy if it rains?You will still be able to take the tour if it rains, but on the rare occasion, your flight may be canceled due to weather conditions. In those situations, they will work with you to reschedule your flight.
