Good To Know

Tour duration is approximately 9 hours.
Includes a by 4WD, whitewater rafting, river gear and a riverside lunch served buffet style.
Park entrance fees ($15/person unless you have an annual Parks Pass) are not included. A link to purchase a park pass will be provided in your confirmation.
Please be at the meeting location 15 minutes prior to your tour time, or you can request pick-up from your Moab motel or campground if needed.
Remember to bring a refillable water bottle, swimsuit or fast-drying shorts, sunscreen, sunglasses with a securing strap, a hat, and sturdy footwear. No flip flops, please.
A rainsuit and bases layers such as long johns, sweater, fleece or wool are recommended for Spring and Fall trips.

Description

Rugged landscapes meet whitewater rapids on this thrilling combination tour from Moab, Utah! This full-day excursion will introduce you to Canyonlands National Park's Island in the Sky district by 4-wheel drive (4WD), followed by a rafting trip through the stunning Professor Valley in the afternoon.

In the morning, explore remote four-wheel-drive trails in the Island in the Sky, including a portion of the White Rim Trail and Shafer Trail, and stunning views at Fossil Point. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to rafts for some whitewater fun on the Fisher Towers section of the Colorado River. A few moderate rapids and lunch on a riverside beach make for a fun-filled afternoon.

This outstanding tour gives you a first-class national park experience, plus an afternoon rafting. From whitewater fun to deep canyons, distant buttes, ancient rock art, natural stone arches and fossils, you'll see a little bit of everything.

"Mike was awesome!!!"

We had an incredible experience with Mike as our canyoneering guide! He was fantastic with our 6-year-old daughter, making her feel safe and excited throughout the adventure. His wealth of knowledge about the area added depth to the experience, and he was always focused on safety while ensuring we had a blast. Mike's fun personality made the day unforgettable for our family. Highly recommend him for anyone looking to explore canyoneering!

"Calm Water Tour was Gorgeous"

My husband and I booked the calm water tour of the Colorado River. It was a beautiful fall day - warm and sunny. But the water levels were low so we opted not to do river rafting. We basically had a personal tour with Josh - we were the only ones this afternoon and they gave us the option to pay for the 3rd person so the trip would go (minimum # of guests). The tour max is 6. We did this mainly due to time constraints on our part - but it turned out to be wonderful. Josh was informative and friendly. He stopped at some great places along with river and gave us the history and importance of each. We also stopped for some great photo ops. We put in at Potash Rd (just beyond the Mine) and went about 14 miles up to the Dead Horse Canyon Overlook. It's just beautiful to see the views from the water after having hiked up on the rim at Dead Horse the day before. It was a beautiful way to spend the afternoon.
