Description

The Arches and Canyonlands Full-Day 4x4 Tour takes you to two of the area's top attractions, Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park, in just one day. These stunning parks are known for their impressive wild open spaces with the most awesome scenery in America. Explore the Shafer Trail, Tower Arch, and more, with a stop for a delicious picnic lunch along the way.

Your excursion begins high atop the Island in the Sky mesa and descends along the steep switchbacks of the Shafer Trail. Then, travel a portion of the White Rim for incredible views of the Colorado River corridor below. Stop to take in the sights, but there is little hiking.

The ancient culture of the Ancestral Puebloans left evidence of their lives in the canyons. Make stops to investigate their mysterious and beautiful rock art before entering Arches National Park.

The tour's professional guides add even more color to the iconic landforms and arches as you make your way to the Devils Garden for lunch.

After lunch, you'll start the backcountry Arches 4x4 tour near Doc Williams point. The trail climbs a steep, but short rock wall, cuts across a valley and meanders through sandstone fins and dunes. Enroute you'll pass the Marching Men, Tower Arch, and the Eye of the Whale. Exit via an old cowboy trail and see dinosaur tracks on the way back to Moab.

We had an incredible experience with Mike as our canyoneering guide! He was fantastic with our 6-year-old daughter, making her feel safe and excited throughout the adventure. His wealth of knowledge about the area added depth to the experience, and he was always focused on safety while ensuring we had a blast. Mike's fun personality made the day unforgettable for our family. Highly recommend him for anyone looking to explore canyoneering!

"Calm Water Tour was Gorgeous"
TripAdvisor user rating 5.0 out of 5
Reviewed October 17, 2024
My husband and I booked the calm water tour of the Colorado River. It was a beautiful fall day - warm and sunny. But the water levels were low so we opted not to do river rafting. We basically had a personal tour with Josh - we were the only ones this afternoon and they gave us the option to pay for the 3rd person so the trip would go (minimum # of guests). The tour max is 6. We did this mainly due to time constraints on our part - but it turned out to be wonderful. Josh was informative and friendly. He stopped at some great places along with river and gave us the history and importance of each. We also stopped for some great photo ops. We put in at Potash Rd (just beyond the Mine) and went about 14 miles up to the Dead Horse Canyon Overlook. It's just beautiful to see the views from the water after having hiked up on the rim at Dead Horse the day before. It was a beautiful way to spend the afternoon.
