Located in the heart of the Needles District of Canyonlands National Park. this combo 4x4 tour and hiking trip offers incredible views and scenic vistas throughout the experience. Expert guides will take you to the highlights of Chesler Park such as Elephant Hill and Devil’s Kitchen.

Departing from NAVTEC Expeditions' headquarters in Moab, you'll travel in a heavy duty yet comfortable four-wheel drive (4WD) vehicle. The route will take you over the famous Elephant Hill, known for its difficulty as one of the most challenging 4WD trails in Southeastern Utah. You'll see the Devil's Kitchen along the way and cruise down Devil's Lane before encountering SOB Hill, another challenging 4WD trail.

Colorful inspiring rock formations, pinion, juniper and the fragrance of sage brush will entice the senses. Numerous species of cacti, active bird populations, various lizards, mule deer and big horn sheep are frequently observed. You'll see incredible rock art along the way, all under the vibrant, blue sky of the desert southwest.

The incredible landforms of the Needles are beautiful beyond description and entirely unique in their grandeur. All who visit here are in awe.

After a relaxing lunch, you'll have the option to take a three-mile hike on the spectacular Joint Trail to the spacious pastures of Chesler Park. The Joint Trail provides a good walking surface, but has a fairly steep uphill pitch to it. The trail is three miles long round-trip with a difficulty level of strenuous. With limited hiking time, participants should be in good physical condition.

The hike is optional and if you prefer, you can sit back and relax at the vehicle while others hike. Either way, you can experience the spectacular beauty and remote silence of the Needles. Certainly, one of the premiere 4X4 tours in the country.
