Description

from Cosmic Caverns
Cosmic Cavern is one of Arkansas' hidden treasures. You will see 2 bottomless cave lakes during your 1hr and 15 minute tour. The first lake, South Lake, has had trout in it for nearly 50 years. Some trout have gone blind and most have lost their color. The bottom or end of these lakes has yet to be found.

Come see our newly discovered area "Silent Splendor." Silent Splendor has been hailed as a must see in Arkansas. Silent Splendor houses one of the longest soda straw formations in the Ozarks measuring over an incredible 9 feet!

Don't forget to bring your camera. In our Buddha Room we actually have a picture studio set up where our guides will take your family picture with your camera... no charge. This really makes a great personal souvenir.

The cave itself was amazing. There were a lot of soda straws, stalagmites and stalactites to see. It’s a little tight in some spots but that is what gives the cave character. The tour guide seem to be knowledgeable and cracked jokes so it was all around a good experience. We went through the cavern and then panned for crystals afterwards. It was a nice little stop.

We had picked a couple of caverns to visit. This was our second and don’t think any of the others could beat it. It is still active and there are some areas that have been only opened since the 90’s so more pristine. It was less commercial and you get more of a spelunking feel. Lisa was a great tour guide. If you only can do one, this is there one.

We truly enjoyed our tour through this cave. Our tour guide was fantastic, although I don’t remember her name. I do know that she also works as a bartender in Eureka Springs when she’s not giving tours. We could tell that she truly had a passion for her job and loved everything about this cave! Her energy definitely transitioned to the rest of us too! She explained the history, how things came to be, and everything that we had questions on very clearly for any of us to understand! The cave had so many beautiful features ranging from times when people used candlelight to explore to recently discovered untouched beauties. This was a longer tour too, which I was happy about because I didn’t feel rushed at all and there was a very smooth transition between tour guides which allowed tours not to overlap. So if you’re a cave lover, it’s definitely a must see!
