.Marvelous job at handling such a large group. Banquet dinner was great. Service was super excellent. Handicap parking was great. I believe we got a great deal on the room price. Stayed in other places that were very expensive and no comparison to Chateau on the Lake.

"Smokers Paradise"

If you are a smoker, this place is for you. When entering the room, the odor of the room was off. When we went out on our deck to admire our view we were greeted with a cup full of dirty water and cigarette butts. We contacted housekeeping to come and remove them. Unfortunately, the smoke had permeated into the room which caused an unpleasant reaction and much coughing. This property has such potential and I really wanted to like it but it fell short in so many areas. For a four diamond AAA rating that prides itself in a high degree of hospitality, service and attention to detail, it lacked in all areas. Why not put a few lounge chairs out around the outdoor pool, even though the pool is not in use, to enjoy the sun and view? Why not keep the Sweet Shop open past 10:00 to accommodate those that want ice cream after a show? Why not work with staff to smile and make guests feel welcome? Why not educate housekeeping that when you include 2 complimentary bottles of water daily in your resort fee that they provide that? If a resort fee is added on to a property, they better deliver what is included. Overall, this property was a disappointment and fell flat of a luxury hotel.

Front desk staff was rude and I was treated badly because the key they gave me stopped working and i had issues checking in as well and it obviously didn’t get fixed then like it should have. I couldn’t show ID because it was in the room. I offered to show ID when they let me in the room, but that was not good enough. The lady literally stood at the door wanting me to tell her exactly where I sat something in the room. I have been at a conference from 6 am till 11pm I don’t remember exactly where everything is sitting. I needed to get in to take my cancer medications and an ID was not good enough. Will never stay here again!
