Where does this Moab airplane tour depart?This tour departs from Canyonlands Field Airport, located approximately 20 minutes from downtown Moab. Check in at the Redtail Aviation counter at 94 W Aviation Way, Moab, UT 84532.
How long is the tour?This loop flight is approximately one hour and will return to its original departure point.
When should we arrive?Please arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled flight departure time.
Is this tour age-appropriate?All ages are welcome on Redtail's flights, especially on this Canyonlands tour! Children over 24 months must sit in their own seats on the plane. Booster pillows are provided by Redtail Air.
What if I get sick on the flight?Paper bags are available on all Redtail's flights for passengers feeling queasy. Support bands are available at check-in upon request. Bring anti-nausea medication if you are prone to motion sickness.
Do we actually fly over the national parks?Yes! This tour will take you over Canyonlands National Park where you'll see The Needles, Island in the Sky and River districts, Upheaval Dome, and more.
Are pets allowed on this flight?Sorry, per FAA regulations, pets are not allowed on the plane. Service animals are allowed with proper documentation indicating that the animal is a service animal.
Is there parking?Parking is available at the airport free of charge.
What should we wear?Comfortable clothes and a light jacket is recommended.
What should we bring?Water, a light jacket, a camera and a smile..
What if I'm running late?Redtail's aircraft are scheduled for exact departure times. However, they will do their best to accommodate passengers running late. If you are running late, please get in touch with Redtail Air at the number listed on your e-ticket.
Can we bring alcohol?No, alcohol is not allowed on Redtail's aircrafts.
How many people can fit in a tour?This is a small plane tour. The minimum number of passengers on a flight is two and the maximum is 9 people per aircraft.
Is the onboard commentary available in other languages?Flights are narrated in English only.
Can this tour accommodate persons with disabilities?For passengers who may need special assistance, please note any special requests in the tickets' comment section above when booking your reservation.
Can I go on this tour if I'm pregnant?Yes, women who are expecting are welcome on this tour.
Will there be bathroom breaks?Redtail's airplanes do not contain restrooms, so please use the restrooms in the terminal prior to your scheduled departure.
What is the tipping policy?Tips are entirely at a passenger’s discretion, however, if you received great service on your flight then Redtail's pilots will certainly appreciate a gratuity!
What's the weather policy if it rains?You will still be able to take the tour if it rains, but on the rare occasion, your flight may be canceled due to weather conditions. In those situations, they will work with you to reschedule your flight.
