The African American History and Culture Tour departs from the U.S. Navy Memorial at 701 Pennsylvania Ave. NW. Look for the tour greeter by the tall, white flagpoles on the Pennsylvania Ave side.

How long is this African American History and Culture Tour?

This tour is approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes. Please arrive at least 15-20 minutes before your scheduled departure time.

What if I'm late?

You must arrive 15- 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to ensure your reservation is honored. You have up to ten (10) minutes before the scheduled departure time to ensure your seat on tour. Ten (10) minutes before the departure time, they note outstanding reservations as "no-shows." If they have walk-up passengers, they will be given a ticket and will be boarded at this time.

Is hotel shuttle service included?

Hotel pick-ups and drop-offs are not provided. If you’re driving in, please be prepared to park your vehicle in one of the paid indoor parking garages close to the tour departure location.

Can I bring a wheelchair or stroller?

The small-capacity buses can accommodate foldable wheelchairs and strollers, but for full-size wheelchairs that require a ramp, please call the number in your e-ticket for special arrangements. It is recommended that you leave full-size strollers behind for a smoother experience. Guests may remain on board during stops if preferred.

Can I reschedule my tour?

They understand things come up, so USA Guided Tours will happily change your date or time as long as they have availability. If you must change, please call the number on your e-ticket as soon as possible.

Can I bring a carry-on luggage?

The sightseeing buses cannot store carry-on bags, so guests are advised to bring only purses, briefcases, or backpacks. Large bags should be stored at the hotel, and USA Guided Tours reserves the right to inspect all bags brought on the tour.

Can I bring a pet?

No, sorry. Only ADA-defined service animals are allowed on tour. Please note that staff may ask if the animal is required due to a disability and what tasks it performs. Service animals must also remain in the owner's designated space and cannot occupy a passenger seat.
