Salamander Stroll

Come along with your family and friends to discover the marvels of nature at the Clyde Shepherd Nature Preserve in Decatur. It’s a great opportunity to rub shoulders with local specialists from the esteemed Amphibian Foundation.

You’ll transform for a day into ‘citizen scientists’, undertaking an ‘amphibian bioblitz’ – an exploration of the preserve that records the diversity of frogs and salamanders present. This preserve has the distinction of being one of the few sanctuaries left for our amphibian pals within city boundaries! All visitors, young and old can join in. Remember to bring your smartphones. You’ll want to snap pictures and share photos of your remarkable finds. Admission is free.

Science Scavenger Hunt
