"This tour made my whole vacation"
May 2016
This was the most amazing day of the whole trip. Jon, our driver, was the most knowledgable, interesting, and thoughtful tour guide. He taught us all about the natural and mythological history of the islands, made several scenic stops -- including stargazing -- and was just all around awesome the whole day. As a first time zipliner, I was really nervous about it, but the guides were super fun, very professional, and I felt safe from the very beginning. The tour included lunch and dinner, and both were excellent fare: sandwiches and tropical fruits during the ziplining, and a beautiful buffet at Volcano Wineries. The nature walk around Kilauea Caldera was fascinating, and seeing the glowing crater after dark was breathtaking. I have not stopped talking about this tour since I got back, and the response I get is "wow, you got a lot more out of Hawaii than I did when I went there!"

I would take this tour again. I would request Jon because he was amazing!

"Great Zipline Experience and Wonderful Crew!"

We booked the Zipline through Paradise course with KapohoKine and it was such a worthwhile decision. We had a lot of fun doing the activity while being able to take in some gorgeous view. Our zip crew Forest, Ethan and Dishman are very professional and attentive, and our tour guide Gabrielle is such a delightful lady and offered us so much insights regarding local food spots and sightseeing options. They genuinely want to make sure that their customers not only have a great time during the experience but also enjoy their stay in Hawaii. Highly recommended!

"Great experience with a few fatal flaws"

Went ziplining. It was fantastic minus a few factors. The employee that was hooking us up to zip line was forgetting to ask the people on the other if she could send us before unhooking us and also complained about her pay being too low. Not to mention the awkwardness of her asking us what ethnicity we thought she was. All of the guides except her made us feel very safe and we’re very surgical in the precision of their movements for our safety. We bought our pictures and spent $90 on pictures for all of us. We found that there were no pictures of any of us on line 4 which was very upsetting as this would have been our favorite picture. We found this out after purchasing all of our pictures. We went down to the store and the guy proceeded to tell me that I should’ve checked before purchasing as sometimes those pictures don’t show up. No one told us this, so I thought his customer service was severely lacking. If you purchase all your pictures, you’d assume you’d receive all pictures you were told were taken, not have to scroll through and take inventory first. So we paid $90 and didn’t get the pictures we were after. Also, I bought a T-shirt of the company. Brought it back to exchange for another color with the tags still on. I was told that they couldn’t do a return without the receipt. WTH... i paid $600 total for everything and the shirt is free advertising for you. Again, why the terrible customer service? Great ziplining course with some great knowledgeable staff. A few pretty serious kinks to work out. A couple bad apples nearly spoil the barrel.

This zip lining adventure was amazing. If you are hesitant fear not this one is for you. I’m scared of heights but I conquered it. The first two were slightly intimidating but the other 5 came easy and those are the ones over forest. The zip line guides were incredible from start to finish. If I could change anything about my visit to Hawaii it would be that we do this first. They gave us tons of informative information about the island as well as places to visit which would have been handy except we went on our last day. Our driver Maddie was great she was a very cheerful person although we were a bit quiet. Thankfully she had my mom up front to talk to. She gave us some good Hilo information and places to visit and eat. The fear was someone we had to overcome quickly and we were a family of many different fear and age levels. My mom was deathly afraid and she conquered it with the continued support and encouragement from all the guides. My little sister (10) was a beast and she took off with no problem. For the little (in size) kids they give a little extra push if needed or also (if needed) the ride tandem with them. Shout out time! I’m starting with McKenna because she rescued me in the middle of the zipline thank you, you are a best. Henry, you could really tell you loved this job, little did you know the small things help and you just leaning back on your ropes helped create a sense of trust in me in my ropes. Forest, wasn’t even part of our group but he was still a huge help in moving it forward for us as he helped move clips over while we waited for our guys. Also, he always had so many facts to share. My brother and sister were first in our tour group and my brother told us later, “ you guys didn’t get to know Forest like I did, Forest is great”. Finally, Alex you was absolutely amazing. There were times I get like I was in a history class but it was ok because he helped pass the time as well as you could see a genuine joy in sharing the information. Also most importantly he helped my mom feel like she could do it and made sure he was always available when she came in to brake because she was scared and was worried no one else would be able to get her up. In short, thank you. This is definitely worth the price and some. My family will remember this adventure forever.

We visited Big Island as part of our honeymoon and did the Zipline Through Paradise tour. It was an incredible experience with amazing views and amazing tour guides. We had Gytis, Dishman and Jesse who were fun and made us feel really safe throughout. They were also really knowledgeable about Hawaii (and as a bonus the local flora!) Thanks you so much - we would definitely recommend this tour!
