from Washington DC Unveiled
Ready to take on the busiest area in DC? Skip the crowded sidewalks and slide into our all-electric Red Roadsters to be guided around our nation’s capital by a local.

Our National Mall tour will start at the L’Enfant Plaza metro, where our guides will take you back to the city’s origins and give you some tips for exploring the city on your own. You’ll work your way through the Smithsonian area, discussing the best exhibits in each. Make sure you bring a notebook because you’ll want to take notes for later!

Next, breeze past the Washington Monument, Holocaust Museum, and Bureau of Engraving and Printing on your way to our beautiful Tidal Basin, where you’ll be entertained with the stories behind the watery oasis and the Jefferson Memorial.

You’ll also have the opportunity to hop out and explore on your own! We’ll do that at two stops: the FDR and MLK memorials, as well as at the Lincoln memorial. At both locations you’ll head out on foot with tips and insider information from our guide, and you’ll be able to spend some time inside these amazing memorials. Afterwards, you’ll cruise along the scenic Potomac River with views of Arlington Cemetery before seeing the World War I and World War II memorials.

Continue your journey through American history with a drive past the White House. Finally, feast your eyes on the buildings of Capitol Hill and learn the history behind the Capitol Building, Supreme Court, and Library of Congress. End your tour on a high note by asking your guide for an amazing spot for lunch before exploring the rest of DC on your own.

"Interesting introduction to US political history and some of the less commonly visited neighbourhood's "

On my first visit to Washington I thought it would be good to find out more about the history and processes of US politics, so I booked onto the politics and pints tour. Trish was my guide for the tour and she was great...super enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We were a mixed group with one non-native (me) and she did a fantastic job of balancing the level of conversation to be inclusive but not overwhelming (for me)/dumbed down (for everyone else). I found the tour to be a great balance of knowledge and sightseeing. We went through some beautiful residential areas that I wouldn't have seen if I hadn't gone on this tour. Trish did a great job of opening debate and conversation in the group ending in a bar at the end (for the pints) where we had an interesting group discussion because of the atmosphere she created. If you're looking for something a bit different to the monument and memorial tours (or if you've done these already) I think that this is definitely an option you should look into.

"Great intro to DC"

If you have never been to D.C., the "Washington D.C. unveiled" tour is perfect. It covers nearly everything around the National Mall with useful information, which can help you then decide where to spend more time. Our guide, Julia, was fantastic! She was informative with a dash of humor for the whole 2 hours. The stops are very brief and the car needs a sound system of some kind as the traffic and especially rear seating are disadvantages to getting the most out of your tour guide. Great job Urban Advnetures.
