Ready to take on the busiest area in DC? Skip the crowded sidewalks and slide into our all-electric Red Roadsters to be guided around our nation’s capital by a local.

Our National Mall tour will start at the L’Enfant Plaza metro, where our guides will take you back to the city’s origins and give you some tips for exploring the city on your own. You’ll work your way through the Smithsonian area, discussing the best exhibits in each. Make sure you bring a notebook because you’ll want to take notes for later!

Next, breeze past the Washington Monument, Holocaust Museum, and Bureau of Engraving and Printing on your way to our beautiful Tidal Basin, where you’ll be entertained with the stories behind the watery oasis and the Jefferson Memorial.

You’ll also have the opportunity to hop out and explore on your own! We’ll do that at two stops: the FDR and MLK memorials, as well as at the Lincoln memorial. At both locations you’ll head out on foot with tips and insider information from our guide, and you’ll be able to spend some time inside these amazing memorials. Afterwards, you’ll cruise along the scenic Potomac River with views of Arlington Cemetery before seeing the World War I and World War II memorials.

Continue your journey through American history with a drive past the White House. Finally, feast your eyes on the buildings of Capitol Hill and learn the history behind the Capitol Building, Supreme Court, and Library of Congress. End your tour on a high note by asking your guide for an amazing spot for lunch before exploring the rest of DC on your own.

"Great private evening tour!"

We booked a private evening tour as a way to show our kids (11, 8, 3) the monuments after dark. Thom was a great guide! He taught us lots of interesting facts, was willing to tailor the tour to our interests and answered all my kids questions. We all loved the experience! Our kids loved his “little red car”!

"crowded roads and venues but great to see at night"

The monuments by night are really worth seeing. For some reason last night was really crowded with many tour buses and tons of school groups. (Thank you kids and chaperones for your consideration of others in use of walkways, and taking photos.) Our driver Steve told interesting stories and emailed us a few group shots before I had even woken up the next morning. He dropped us off very close to our hotel, saving us the cab ride home with tired kids. Very nice!

"Great way to see DC"

One thing that always catches first-time visitors to DC off guard is the sheer distance between attractions. The electric cart tour is a very enjoyable solution. Our tour was fun and informative, and Julia, our guide, is a gem. There was plenty of time allowed to see the monuments during several stops along the route. We had a great time, and I highly recommend this tour as an alternative to miles of walking.
