Rising 150 feet above Manhattan's West Side, Vessel NYC is one of the most eye-catching attractions in New York City. Located at Hudson Yards, this spiraling structure was designed by Thomas Heatherwick and features 154 interconnecting staircases and 80 landings—offering an immersive experience with sweeping views of the Hudson River and skyline.

Known for its bold, honeycomb-style design, the Vessel has become an iconic photo spot and a must-see for architecture lovers, urban explorers, and first-time visitors alike. While not all upper pathways are currently open, guests can still explore multiple levels of the Vessel—including fully open lower levels and upper areas retrofitted with floor-to-ceiling mesh for added safety. These include half the traversable area above level 2 and a single platform on the top level.

The attraction is part of Hudson Yards, NYC's newest neighborhood for shopping, dining, and culture. The top floors facing the water are still closed. They have not explicitly stated that at the ticket counter. Unethical folks running this show. Not worth the price

Eye-catching structure located at Hudson Yards. It is a work of art and is a public garden that can be entered and explored. Cost varies but is around $12- 15.

The vessis now a unique attraction for the visiting tourist. On first seeing this monumental structure on is immediately curious. Then after entering the structure the eyes go up toward the sky and the many steps that must be climbed in order to reach the summit of the sculpture called the vessel. As one climbs ever upward, the smiles of those descending from above spurs us forward so that we also can share the glee that comes from accomplishment. After a ten minutes climb we've arrived! Joy fills the air and my wife and I are all smiles. We encourage everyone who visits New York to experience this fantastic attraction. Your camera is a must.

Where is Vessel in New York?

Is there parking?

Parking is available at 10 Hudson Yards, Abingdon House, and One Hudson Yards, all along West 30th Street between 10th and 11th Avenues.

How does entry work?

Your entry time and date are on your e-ticket. Please arrive within 60 minutes of your selected time. Proceed directly to the Vessel entrance and show your e-ticket or printed voucher.

What if I arrive early or late for my scheduled entry?

There’s no waiting area at the Vessel, but you're welcome to explore Hudson Yards until your time. If you miss your slot, speak with a staff on-site—they may be able to accommodate you, but entry and refunds are not guaranteed.

Is the NY Vessel suitable for children?

Yes, Vessel is suitable for all ages. Plus, children ages 5 and under are admitted for free. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by an adult during their visit.
