"Lovely hotel, very close to Universal."

An excellent hotel if you are visiting Universal. It is an easy walk, or there is a regular handy hotel shuttle if you are feeling weary especially after a full day in the park. We had a room overlooking the park, which gave us fabulous views by day or night. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. There is a handy shop and coffee stand which are very useful if your want to hit the park running without being delayed by breakfast. As well as Universal, the hotel is close to the Metro (albeit via a steep hill - but there is a shuttle from the park to the bottom of the hill) which allows easy and cheap access to Hollywood and Downtown LA. Hotel room was great, with one of the best hotel bathrooms I have experienced. Overall, highly recommended.

"Good Location, But That’s It"

The Hilton LA/Universal City is located just outside of Universal Studios Hollywood. For those attending the park, it’s quite convenient. However, hotel management clearly understands their position and takes full advantage. The room was average at best, with some big negatives. No fan in the bathroom, so everything stayed damp all day. Extremely few outlets in the room: one cluster on the night stand between the beds and one on the desk by the windows. Very inconvenient for people charging phones etc. Based on foot tracks in the shower, the carpets were quite dirty. Now let’s talk about the biggest negative: cost. This hotel has adopted a “no tips” policy, instead choosing to mark prices up. And mark prices up they do. You’d think you were staying in downtown Manhattan at a 5-star hotel given how high the prices are. Expect to pay at least $50/pp in the lobby lounge for dinner with limited options. We skipped the high end steakhouse and the seafood buffet that clocked in at $140/pp. There are lots of nearby food options, but they all require driving, and clearly the hotel management understands that inconvenience. If you stay here, plan ahead on food and be ready to leave the hotel to find something affordable.

We stayed at Hilton Universal City for 3 nights and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The hotel is just a short walk to Universal Studios Hollywood—super convenient and perfect for park visitors. What really made our stay special was Gwen at the front desk. She was incredibly warm, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Her hospitality truly stood out. Highly recommend this hotel, especially if you're visiting Universal!

Ii just returned from a great trip to universal studios with my wife and daughter. Certainly, a bummer. But my wife turned her ankle walking from the Hilton over to the park and i wanted to thanks both Jonathan and jarome for taking care of her while she recovered. Thanks for the wheelchair loan and the room service, but most of all, thanks for caring!

All the people who worked in there the days we were there was the nicest. Very helpful, attentive and just nice. The installations are ok, just ok. Food and all other services are expensive. Rooms Not worth the price. But convenience to visit the park, they have a shuttle and it's also a 7 min walk distance to get to the park.
