From lightly feeling the skins in the indian hut at the beginning to moving straight into the recovered treasures...The jewelry pieces, gold bars, coins, pottery and lifting the silver bar...The conquistador helmets and weapons, to Flagler's model city and train set...Specially watching the different buildings light up by pressing the buttons...Truly enjoyable "Hands On" experience...Well worth an hour...Thank you for putting it together...

This review is just for the general store. When ever we needed postcards, this is the place to go to. Large selection at a good price. Take time to walk around the store, other interesting stuff to pick up. The prisoner shirts will come to good use on Halloween. Store is clean and staff friendly. Plenty of free parking too.

"small but well done"

This site was not on my list of places to visit during our three days in St. Augustine (due to its small size), but we arrived early for our Nights of Lights tour on Dec. 30 and decided to check it out while we were waiting. We (four adults) are all history buffs (in varying degrees), and since I was in St. Augustine to learn about Florida’s settlement and history, I felt it added to my education and therefore was time and money well spent. It is a small museum, but it contains well-done exhibits that would engage anyone willing to give a little effort to explore the subject matter.

"Cheap Fun - Some Good History"

We took our three kids (8, 8, 6 yrs old) to Gator Bob's and stumbled upon their little museum. Since it was free, we took a spin around. It had several fun little exhibits - pirates, settlement history, a fun train set for the kids to push buttons and make things move. Its worth stopping in to check it out. My kids enjoyed it! There are some fun photo ops here too - standing next to a big gator, and some funny things where you put your head in a cut out. Oh, and there is free parking. Can't beat that!

Being from FL, we had already seen a lot of what was offered in this museum with the exception of the St Augustine specific displays. If you're into history and take the time to stop and read the exhibits, then it's a great little museum. It was included in the package we purchased from the Old Town Trolley tours. The store, Gator's Bob had quite the selection of souvenirs and an ice cream station. Clean restrooms too!!

"Worth the Free Admission"

If I would have had to pay for this, I would have asked for a refund. However, the 5-minute walk through was worth the free admission for us. We were waiting on the next trolley, so we decided to walk through quickly. Quickly is all it took. If it's free for you, go ahead and walk through. Otherwise, skip it!

"Free and Dry Are the Best Parts of This Tour"

Getting off the trolley soaking wet, we were happy to have this free option as an activity to get out of the rain. Admission came with the trolley tour. Going through the museum we were glad it was free. There's something to be said about having staff at an attraction. There was none and the lack of hospitality and customer service was really a let down. It's a very small museum, but what's there is well presented. We were the only ones there at the time, so it was nice to go at our own pace and not worry about being in someone else's space. The interaction with the model train at the end is a plus for children, especially.
