The front desk staff, particularly Abigail, demonstrated exceptional friendliness and helpfulness. Abigail proactively communicated with us throughout our stay to ensure all our needs were met. Following our check-out, my husband inadvertently left his pill case in the room, and Abigail promptly contacted me to inform us and facilitate its retrieval. This level of attentiveness is commendable, as many establishments might not extend such a courtesy. The professionalism exhibited by the hotel staff was truly impressive. The accommodations were notably spacious and impeccably clean, with very comfortable bedding. The presence of an on-site restaurant and bar is a significant amenity. We had the pleasure of dining at the restaurant on multiple occasions, and Paula at the bar consistently crafted a flavorful cosmopolitan. Our stay at this hotel was delightful, and we anticipate returning on our next visit to St. Augustine. Its proximity to the historic district, within walking distance, is an added advantage. I wholeheartedly recommend this hotel.

We had reservations for 7 days. Because of illness we had to cancel the day before arrival and have proof of the medical issues causing the cancellation. Our email reservation stated that we would be charged for one night stay and tax if we made a cancellation closer than 21 days to arrival but the hotel refused to honor the cancellation instructions printed on their own email, received after we made our reservation, and instead charged us for the entire week, more than $1300. We called the hotel a number of times. The General Manager refused to speak to us or respond to our emails. The front desk clerks said they were instructed not to cancel our reservation even though we called the hotel several times and tried to cancel. They wanted us to be a no show so they wouldn't even let us cancel.It felt like we checked into "Hotel California", from the old Eagles song. We also called Hilton customer service and I spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with three different representatives who were themselves calling the hotel and speaking on our behalf. One of those representatives hung up on me but the other two tried to be helpful. Apparently this hotel feels that they don't have to abide by their own written and published instructions. And Hilton apparently has absolutely no authority over this rogue property. We are contesting the charge on our credit card and, given that we have written proof of the cancellation policy we feel that we will have no trouble getting the changes reversed. We will gladly pay the one night's stay, which is what the cancellation policy requires.The management of this hotel could not be worse. They have created a situation where we will never stay at a Hilton property again. And they have taken up several hours of our valuable time. My next contact will be the Better Business Bureau. I can't imagine ruder service. Our credit card company advises that you try to work things out with the merchant. How can we work things out when the General Manager refuses contact and the desk clerks have been instructed not to help.

Very nice hotel. Clean and modern. About what you’d expect for a mid range hotel. Gio at the front desk was VERY helpful and went above and beyond. The only complaint is the bed—hard as a rock. Literally my wife and I both woke up several times because the bed was so uncomfortable.
