Ripley's Selfie Studios in Niagara Falls, ON

Similar to other reviewers, we only stopped in because this was included in the Ripley's combo pass. I knew I wanted to do a wax museum and the believe it or not museum, so the combo essentially threw this one in for free. That said - I was surprised by how much my 6-year old love it. We spent at least an hour here, and she got such a big kick out of posing for photos. (Turned out we enjoyed this more than the wax museum!) We didn't mostly use the selfie stands, I just took pictures of my posing kid. But I notice old reviews say the selfie stands used to have lights on them....that would have been a neat thing, but none of them do anymore. Additionally, from looking at some of the other pictures, it seems like they used to have more props to pose with. This is why I docked a star - if they had more props this would be an absolute gem. But some of the rooms fall flat...Like there's a room with rubber duck wallpaper and a big stand alone tub with a rubber duckie shower curtain on it....but then no rubber duckies to take pictures with. It just feels like that is obviously missing lol. And the little barbecue scene would have been cuter with some toy food to grill....the donut wall would benefit from maybe some inflatable donuts...the old school vanity could use some fake make-up. Knowing that other reviewers had cooler props at some point in the past is disappointing. But we still had a blast.

This was a lot more fun than I thought it would be. The girls really enjoyed it. Each scene is set up for a good fun photo. There are even tripods all over the place so you can mount your camera for a group photo. If you have a creative mind, you might do well here.

The rooms at Ripley's Selfie Studios are very well done. The photo-oppurtunities are great and allow for creativity. The only downside is that some of my crew had visited 2 years ago and there weren't a lot of changes. It's still fun and worthwhile.

I mainly wanted to do the traditional Ripley's and the wax museum, so they throw this attraction in a combo ticket. This is a really dumb attraction. It is a series of maybe 20 or so scenes that you can take selfies in. None of them are particularly interesting. When I visited, there was not another person to be found in here. Thank goodness the people know better. Maybe there's an audience for this, but it sure as heck is not me. I walked through it in maybe 5 minutes. Ripley's has so many better attractions. They really need to axe this and put a more worthwhile attraction in. Don't go - even if it is a free part of your combo ticket. The 5 minutes is better spent sitting on a bench.

For context, we wanted to go to the Ripleys Believe It or Not Odditorium and a wax museum while we were in Niagara Falls, and admission to this was included as part of a bundle. We went in with no expectations… and it was a blast! We went on a Saturday night and it was not busy at all. It’s literally just a bunch of staged areas with ring lights and some props to take photos. My family and I had a fun time posing, and did a lot of really silly photos that the kids thought were hilarious. While I don’t know that it’s necessarily a good value if you pay full price admission, as part of the bundle it was awesome. We had a great time and plan to make a calendar out of our favourite pictures.
