"Don’t overpay for a view that says falls view and is not!"

We booked a room in June for an October stay for our anniversary. We paid extra for a falls view room and higher room. Upon arrival we were given a side room with view of sky tower and if you leaned out the window (they call it a balcony) and hang over the edge you can see the falls. We immediately complained bc we had booked in advance and paid extra. They told us they had no availability until the next day. So we now lose a day due to having to move rooms. No compensation was offered for inconvenience or overpaying for the first night’s room. I will be honest- don’t book here. Stay somewhere cheaper. There are plenty of amazing ways to view the falls. You don’t need this hassle on a special trip. The room With bad view is 2177

"Sheraton Fallsview only good for the view"

I was excited to be going to the Sheraton Fallsview with the view of the falls, but unfortunately, that was the only thing that made the Fallsview special. The hotel is dated and needs a refresh. The room amenities like USB ports and light fixtures didn’t work. While showering, I discovered the soap dispenser was empty and i had to finish my shower by getting out to grab the hand soap. When i contacted had housekeeping to refill the soap they had no explanation why it wasn’t checked. At 1:30 PM, our room key suddenly stop working even though we had a 2pm checkout and the front desk was unable to rectify our issue 2 times and had to have housekeeping open our door until we checked out. Our dining experience at Massimo Restaurant was also a disappointment, I ordered a rack of lamb medium rare and waited about 30 minutes and it well done. With the exception of the room view, the whole experience at the Fallsview Sheraton was very disappointing.

"Worst experience ever had."

This was the worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a hotel. I booked and paid for an upgraded Falls View King Room specifically so we could enjoy the view for our first wedding anniversary. When we checked in, we were told that the room type we paid for was “unavailable,” with no prior notice or apology beyond “we don’t have it available.” To make matters worse, the lady checking us in wouldn’t offer any refund, partial credit, or compensation. After some back and forth, they eventually offered a discount for parking and a breakfast voucher. We were placed in a double queen room with no window, which completely defeated the purpose of the paid upgrade and the reason we chose this hotel for our anniversary. On top of that, the walls were paper thin- you could hear everything from the rooms next door and the hallway, making it nearly impossible to relax or get any decent sleep. To make things even worse, I am STILL dealing with them because they haven’t refunded me for the parking charge like they said they would. It has been the worst experience I’ve ever had dealing with a hotel. Completely unprofessional and frustrating from start to finish. For the price and reputation, I expected far better service, or at the very least, some genuine care, urgency, or effort to make things right when issues came up. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. This was a truly disappointing experience and I wouldn’t recommend anyone stay here.
