Where does the Maui Dream Helicopter Tour depart?

This tour departs from Maverick Helicopters Maui located at the Kahului Heliport—Lelepio Pl, Kahului, HI 96732. The Kahului Heliport is near, but not at the Kahului Airport.

Is there a charge for parking at the heliport?

Yes, the parking area at the heliport is privately owned by ABM Parking Services. There is a "Self Service Pay Booth" at the entrance that accepts Visa and MasterCard. It also accepts cash, but does not provide any change.

Is the helicopter tour recommended for children? Can my child sit on my lap?

Yes, the helicopter tour is fun for all ages! But minor passengers must be accompanied by adults. Children 2 years old and above are required to have their own seat, while children under 2 can only be considered a lap child with proof of age—passport or birth certificate.

Is there a weight limit?

The maximum weight limit per passenger is 300lbs, and 1,240lbs for the total weight of passengers on the helicopter. Please note that guests over the weight limit will need to purchase two seats, and inaccurately stated body weights may result in cancelation without a refund.

Are pregnant women allowed to board the helicopter?

Yes, pregnant guests fly with Maverick Helicopters often. However, it is always recommended to check with your doctor before booking.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes are recommended.

What do I need to bring?

All guests over the age of 18 must bring a valid photo ID for check-in. Cameras are also highly recommended, as well as sunglasses and sunscreen based on the flight type and time of the year.

Can I use my cellphone during the Maui helicopter flight?

Yes, but use it only for taking photos and videos—calls, messaging, and data use are prohibited on the helicopter. Set your mobile phone on airplane mode or turn it off before boarding. Please note that flash photography is not allowed.

Can I bring a beverage on the flight?

You can bring bottled water on the flight. All other beverages will not be allowed on board the helicopter.

Can I take pictures of the aircraft?

Yes, you can take pictures of the helicopter after landing, but not on the heliport ramp.
