"Anniversary Visit - Poor service "

I have been a platinum member for past 12 years with Marriott, but despite that the service we received in this magnificent property was sub-par. We are here for our 12th anniversary and during check-in, when asked the purpose of the visit, we called that out. So our check-in executive graciously offered to arrange for champagne in the room on 3rd Dec. We were disappointed when there wasn’t anything arranged despite they offered. This made me scramble and arrange in last minute for our midnight celebrations. Secondly we asked for couple of wine glasses to the room service and they conveniently forgot to get them even after waiting for 2 hours. I have stayed in Marriott properties for so long that I’ve been a life time platinum member, but never had such experience before. Hopefully Bonvoy maintains its standards of service it promises.

"Another amazing stay at the Sheraton Maui!"

I have stayed at this beautiful resort 11 times over the past 10 years and have had a fabulous stay each and every time! From check-in with Noah (who's super nice and extremely helpful), to everyone on staff, they have all been very friendly and attentive. When I read some of the negative reviews, it's really surprising because that's never been my experience staying here. Yes, they are winding up some construction projects, and a few things are moved temporarily, but we never heard any construction noise, nor was it bothersome at all. I love the breakfast buffet (especially the omelet station!), and the servers from the Mai Tai bar and Cliff Dive Grill are very attentive. And it's a beautiful resort, in an amazing location! Seriously, what's not to love?

"Don’t even bother "

Beautiful surroundings that was spoilt by terrible service we received at the resort. Checking in already was a mission as I had to get into an argument with the staff because even though I was notified my upgrade (using suite nights that was taken out of my account) was granted the front desk wanted to put me in the same room. We didn’t get any welcoming gifts even though I have titanium elite status with Marriott. Parking is an issue and layout of the resort is definitely not ideal. They are busy with renovations so some of the amenities are closed. Food and beverage prices at the resort itself is borderline criminal. I must however point out that all the waiting staff was exceptional especially the servers at breakfast. Next time I go to Maui I will most definitely avoid the Sheraton.

"Thanksgiving Buffet"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed November 28, 2019 NEW
Our family has had Thanksgiving dinner here for the last 15 years or so (excluding the strike year) and have enjoyed the quality of the food as well as the beautiful surroundings. Unfortunately, over the past several years, the quality of the food has dropped off considerably. This year, the quality reached an all time low. Whoever manages this service surely should recognize this. Sadly, we won’t be taking any more chances with our Thanksgiving dinners; enough.

"Totally worth it"

Spent 5 days at this wonderful resort. Rooms are nice, though beds are more like doubles than queens. Our ground floor room has a patio that had beautiful views of the ocean and area where they hold the luau. Pools are great with lots of chairs. Snorkeling and jumping off the rock cliff were fun and easy ways to spend the time. (Snorkeling equipment rental was a fair price.) There are several casual food (and fancier restaurant) options on site and the resort is a short walk from Whaler’s Village which has even more restaurants and shops. Staff were all courteous and helpful. Great place to experience the paradise that is Hawai’i!
