LEGOLAND New York Resort is currently under construction, but in Spring 2020, the doors will open, and families will experience the most extensive LEGOLAND ever built! There will be 50 exciting rides and attractions, 15,000 LEGO models, and 8 themed "lands" to investigate. The resort allows families to explore the park over multiple days, and with a wide variety of dining options, you don't have to leave until you have seen it all!

LEGOLAND® New York Resort is a unique indoor/outdoor theme park destination for kids age 2-12 and their families. Currently under construction in Goshen, New York, 60 miles northwest of New York City, LEGOLAND New York Resort is scheduled to open in summer 2020.

The Resort will be the third in the United States – joining our sister LEGOLAND Resorts in California and Florida – and the ninth LEGOLAND in the world. LEGOLAND New York Resort will be the largest LEGOLAND Resort ever built by Merlin Entertainments, occupying 150 acres of a 500-acre site. A further 150 acres will be preserved to create a natural buffer around the Resort, giving guests the experience of being at a “Park within a park.”

LEGOLAND New York Resort will offer more than 50 rides, shows, and attractions, all built around LEGO® bricks. It will also offer a 250-room LEGO themed hotel from the outset, giving families the ultimate immersive multi-day LEGO experience. The Resort will feature 15,000 LEGO models, containing 30 million LEGO bricks.

The Resort will feature eight themed “lands,” each inspired by popular LEGO toys:
The Factory
The beginning of the LEGOLAND New York experience. Guests pass under the iconic arch and into a world that appears to be built of LEGO bricks. First stop will be the Great LEGO Adventure, a new ride exclusive to LEGOLAND New York, which will simulate the experience of being a LEGO Minifigure, traveling through the manufacturing process, into a box, and into the hands of a child waiting to build.

Bricktopia
The land with no rules, where guests can build anything they can imagine. Here, guests can work with Master Model Builders to build and test their LEGO creations, take a spin on the Imagine Celebration ride, or jump on the Stepping Tones to trigger LEGO instruments.

LEGO NINJAGO World
In this land, aspiring ninjas can master the ancient art of Spinjitzu. Guests start in Training Camp, and progress to NINJAGO: The Ride, where they can help defeat the Great Devourer using only their hands as weapons.

LEGO Friends Heartlake City
This land is based on the lives of five girls from the popular LEGO Friends toy line: Emma, Olivia, Stephanie, Andrea, and Mia. This land will feature a balloon ride which is exclusive to LEGOLAND New York Resort. Guests will also be able to sample the legendary and delicious Granny’s Apple Fries.

Knights’ Kingdom
The home of the LEGO Castle. This land features the Dragon Coaster, a LEGOLAND Park’s signature ride, which is sized for a child’s first roller coaster experience. For younger riders, Dragon Rider School offers the chance to help a flock of baby dragons learn to fly.

LEGO City
A bustling metropolis of Minifigures, LEGO City features Driving School, one of LEGOLAND Park’s most popular rides, a “real life” driving experience which allows kids ages 6 through 13 to receive their official LEGOLAND driver license.

Pirate Shores
The place for young buccaneers to find adventure! This pirate-themed land will feature Rogue Wave Riders, a ride redesigned for LEGOLAND New York Resort, where guests can do battle with water spouts and hungry beasts.

Miniland
The heart of every LEGOLAND theme park, Miniland contains a massive panorama of animated, interactive LEGO built cities from across the country. LEGOLAND New York’s Miniland will feature several LEGO models never before seen at any LEGOLAND Park.

LEGOLAND New York Transportation Instructions
No reservation required. Ticket with transportation must have been purchased. If only a general admission ticket has been purchased, transportation will need to be paid at the bus terminal.
  • Buses depart New York City’s Port Authority Midtown Bus Terminal between 8:30 AM and 10:30 AM each morning.
  • New York City’s Port Authority Midtown Bus Terminal address is 625 8th Ave, New York, NY 10109 (Between 40 th and 42 nd Streets)
  • Please check the boards or ask at the information desk for the bus departure gate.
  • Seating is not prearranged and on a first-come, first-serve basis as the bus is boarded.
  • Transportation is non-stop from Port Authority’s Midtown Bus Terminal to the bus drop off zone at LEGOLAND New York in Goshen, New York. This is close to the park entrance (admissions gate).
  • The ride is approximately 60 miles / 90 minutes in each direction, depending on traffic.
  • Buses will begin the return trip to New York City’s Port Authority Midtown Bus Terminal at 3 PM with the last bus departing at park closing.
  • Please check the Coach USA website for specific times for your chosen date to visit LEGOLAND New York.

    What age group is LEGOLAND best for?
    While the Resort will be designed primarily for kids ages 2-12, guests of all ages are welcome! Most of the rides and attractions are meant for the entire family to enjoy together.

    Where is LEGOLAND New York Resort located? 
    The park and resort are under construction in Goshen, New York, about 60 miles northwest of New York City.

    How big is the park?
    Our full site is more than 500 acres. The resort will initially occupy 150 acres, making it the largest LEGOLAND ever built by Merlin Entertainments Group.

    When will the park open?
    LEGOLAND New York Resort will open in 2020.

    Will LEGOLAND New York Resort be open year-round? 
    LEGOLAND New York Resort will be open seasonally. Season is typically from early spring through late fall. Some of our educational areas will be open year-round – and starting in the 2021 season, our hotel will be open year-round as well.

    What hours/days will LEGOLAND New York Resort be open?
    A full operating calendar will be released as the park gets closer to its grand opening.

    Is LEGOLAND New York Resort an indoor or outdoor attraction?
    LEGOLAND New York Resort is primarily an outdoor theme park, but we will also offer a number of indoor attractions, such as our 4D Cinema and many of our rides, shows, and building experiences.

    Will there be a water park? 
    At this time we have no plans for a water park, but LEGOLAND New York Resort will have many water rides and features!

    How is LEGOLAND New York Resort different from LEGOLAND Discovery Center?
    LEGOLAND New York Resort is a unique indoor/outdoor theme park destination for families, with more than 50 rides, shows and attractions and a LEGO themed hotel for an immersive multi-day LEGO experience! A LEGOLAND Discovery Center is the ultimate indoor LEGO playground, with a number of fun LEGO themed play spaces for kids age 3-10 and their families to spend 2-3 hours.

    Will I be able to purchase LEGO products at LEGOLAND New York Resort? 
    Of course! We’ll have numerous shops throughout the Park and Hotel, with the widest selection of LEGO products in the world! You’ll also find LEGOLAND souvenirs and everything you need for a perfect day out.

    Will I be able to visit LEGOLAND New York Resort just to shop?
    You’ll be able to get a Shopper's Pass at the ticketing windows to enter LEGOLAND New York Resort for one hour to shop. You will need to pay a deposit of the cost of single day admission, which will be refunded if you leave within the hour time limit.

    Will I be able to use LEGO gift cards at LEGOLAND New York?
    We will be unable to accept LEGO gift cards at LEGOLAND New York, as they are specific to LEGO brand stores and the online shop.

    What kinds of restaurants will LEGOLAND New York Resort offer?
    Both the Park and Hotel will have a wide variety of family-friendly dining options. The majority of our restaurants will offer both indoor and outdoor seating.

    What options will be available for guests with special dietary needs? 
     While LEGOLAND New York’s menu options are still being developed, we encourage you to visit the websites of our sister LEGOLAND Resorts in California and Florida to get an idea of the kinds of options we offer.

    Will there be Kosher food options available in the Park? 
    Yes, there will be kosher approved/certified foods available throughout the Park. We are still planning our food and beverage options. Please check back with a member of our team as we get closer to our Grand Opening to ensure your dietary needs will be covered.

    What services do you offer for guests with autism and other disabilities?
    We welcome guests with disabilities! While LEGOLAND New York’s policies are still being developed, we encourage you to visit the websites of our sister LEGOLAND Resorts in California and Florida to get an idea of the kinds of accommodations we offer.

    What is the Standard Pass? 
    The Standard Pass is the most affordable way to visit LEGOLAND New York Resort! Here are some of the benefits you’ll receive as a Standard Pass member:

    • 12 months unlimited visits to LEGOLAND New York Resort from the date you first use the pass*. For example, if you first use your pass in July 2020, it will be valid until July 2021. 
    • Invitations to special events at LEGOLAND New York Resort *Some blackout dates apply, including peak times during summer season and holidays. Full operating calendar, including blackout dates, can be found . You can remove blackout dates by upgrading to another pass.
    What public transportation options are available? 
    Short Line/Coach USA will be providing direct bus service from Port Authority Bus Terminal in New York City to LEGOLAND New York Resort.

    Will your rides and attractions have height restrictions?
    We carefully select our rides and attractions to ensure there’s plenty to do for children age 2-12 (and parents too!). However, to ensure everyone’s safety, some of our rides will have minimum height requirements. These height requirements are provided by ride manufacturers. They’ll be clearly listed on our ride guides and maps, and posted on our website closer to our Grand Opening. Among the restrictions are:
    • The Dragon: Minimum height requirement is 42 inches. Children under 48 inches must be accompanied on the ride. 
    • Dragon’s Apprentice: Minimum height requirement is 36 inches. Children under 42 inches must be accompanied on the ride. 
    • Driving School: Ages 6-13. 
    • Junior Driving School: Ages 3-5. 
    Will I be able to bring my own food and drink into the park? 
    You’ll be able to bring in some outside coolers, food and beverages under certain guidelines. Bottled water, small lunch snacks and meals that do not require heating will be permitted, along with baby food and formula, and any food or nutritional supplements required for medical purposes. You will not be able to bring alcohol onto LEGOLAND® New York Resort property.

    Does LEGOLAND New York Resort look after children while they’re in the park? 
    LEGOLAND New York Resort is the perfect place for a day out with family. Most of our rides are designed to be enjoyed by children and their families together. We do not offer services to look after children.

    Will smoking or vaping be allowed at LEGOLAND New York Resort?
    Smoking and vaping will be prohibited on LEGOLAND New York Resort property.

    What can you tell me about safety and security in the park?
    Surveillance cameras will be in use at locations throughout the Park. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. No weapons of any kind will be allowed in the Park. Park Rangers will be patrolling all areas of the Park and will be more than happy to help or advise. We will also have a large team of EMTs to handle the medical needs of our guests.
