Please be advised that while my husband and I found the Resort to be amenable, we were totally unprepared for the onslaught of continual barrage of sales attempts from the Resort’s sales agents. The continuous phone calls became so burdensome that we unplugged the phone. This was only bested by a salesperson who made a personal visit to our unit “inviting” us to tour the property. (We had already been at the Resort for two days). The Agent promised to show us “everything about Diamond Resorts.” As we booked these accommodations as a “king suite” and not a marketing platform, we were totally not prepared for such disruption and lack of disrespect for our privacy.

We stayed here for 3 nights on April 26 - 29th. The unit was very large and clean. We were in building 16 which is just a short walk to the activity center which houses both the indoor and outdoor pool. The master bedroom is very large and has a large en-suite bathroom. The second bedroom in our unit had two twin beds. All beds were comfortable. We only cooked one breakfast and one dinner, but had everything we needed as far as cookware. If you need anything they will bring it to you. There is a Walmart 2.3 miles down the road, as well as lots of restaurants and stores. Would highly recommend staying here!!

I am an owner at another resort so my expectations are high. The resort is nice in appearance and didn't appear to be to full the entire time we were there. I went to check in and was asked a number of times if this was my first time and why was I visiting this weekend. I responded I needed to get a way and get some work done in quiet. I was given my room after a few mins of trying to find me one on ground level. after receiving my keys I was escorted over to the sales pitch counter (which is a big turn off for me) if I wanted to own at this resort I would have inquired about it. I then stood at the sales pitch counter listening to this lady convince me to come to the breakfast in the morning to hear more about the resort. I just wanted to scream... LADY I am just here to get some work down in a quiet location. I then drove around to where my room was. One thing I noticed was the only pool I saw was not in walking distance of where my room was. I would have to get back in the care drive around there and then get back in the car to drive back to my room. (I guess my resort spoiled me because every complex has its own pool and then there is a huge pool at the main house. I guess I expected that ever place I went) The suite was nice and nicely arrange. However we had a small issue with the TV, but after one phone call to the front desk, I was told to unplug it for a few seconds and try it again. That did work. My only issue with the suite was we found two roaches (one in the kitchen and one in the living room area). My guest killed them both before we brought our bags and stuff inside. Only other bug that was seen was when we opened the sliding door but that was expected. The suite smelled like it needed to be aired out a bit. After spraying some natural oils air fresher in all the rooms the suite smelled better. I guess this came from the suites not being used regularly due to the time of year. Met Lloyd Whitaker at the guard station as he was doing rounds and he was a delight to talk with. I would stay here again if the price was right.

It's only our third day here but we're very pleased with this Resort. Good location, near restaurants and convenient to markets and stores, too. Staff is very friendly and everything works in our rooms. Wi-Fi is a bit slow but no trouble. We look forward to exploring Williamsburg, Jamestown, Newport News and other nearby spots.
