"Vacation from hell"

The customer service was horrible. The rooms was outdated. We called the front desk to report a stopped up toilet and they never reported it to maintenance. After 3 phone calls and a drive to the club house ( a day later) the problem was fixed. This was a vacation from hell! This resort will never get another penny of my hard earned money. I had 6 condos and my family was very disappointed.

We are owners at this resort and arrived on Saturday. We reserved four units and all arrived late from different parts of the United States when we awoke Sunday morning we realized how rundown and dilapidated the rooms actually were. We went to the registration office and spoke with Harry Rogers and Korey Willis and boy did they do the right thing. They moved us to newly renovated units, made sure we were comfortable, and really listened to how they can improve the properties. The grounds are beautiful and the people here have been so nice. Highly recommend staying here. Also a shout out to Dayson. Another rockstar in owner registration. So glad we brought our family here.

"Very Nice Resort"

Very nice resort, Large updated unit. Central location to many attractions in the Williamsburg area and only an hour from Virginia Beach. Shopping center about 2 miles away. Had a wonderful time and the resort staff was very friendly and helpful. Most in our party walked to the main pool/gym area, but a closer unit would have been a bit more convenient.

Two good areas, the outside pool has excellent access for those with disability and for kids. A lot of activities on site. But overall experience will probably stop us from going back. We reserved 2 units for family with 1st floor units because of disability. At check in they said units in different buildings. Told them that would not work. They said could have same building but 2 second floor units. Explained again about need for at least one unit to be ground floor. She gave us the room keys, we got to units, both on second floor. Back to check in. Another staff said he could give us two units in same building, one unit ground the other downstairs. We got there and the units required going up 10 exterior steps or about 150’ ramp. At that point we realized Gilton was just not getting it and we stayed with the units. Though 4 days for my wife walking the ramp a couple of times a day in 90+ degree heat. Downstairs room dusty Daughter in Law had to dust entire unit. The outlets on two walls in kitchen didn’t work, called for maintenance. Maintenance could not fix outlets, not sure of the problem. Problem was simple, GFCI outlet in kitchen is bad, needs replacement, not on, won’t reset. They could not figure that out. Called for extra coffee packs, offered to pick up, they said would deliver, never got them. TV guide on set did not give the right channels for programs, guide would say channel 53, show was on 46. We have stayed here a number of times when operated by another hospitality company and it was operated much better.

Ground level unit was crawling with bugs and centipedes. Carpet was dirty. Water was leaking in the bathroom. Will never stay there again.
