Excellent experience from every point of view: the visit was smooth and quick, even though I bought the ticket at the last minute, just before sunset. I was lucky to find little queue and not too many people on the terrace. Simply breathtaking view! Walking on a glass floor at that height is truly a one-of-a-kind experience!

"Great views of Manhattan that didn't break the bank"

Let's be honest, you're going to the top of a high building for the views, not all the peripheral experience. We found The Edge was far cheaper (less than $50 per head) than some of the other more well known tall building experiences. And once you are there you are eye to eye with the observation tower of the Empire State. We went up there on a windy afternoon, so honestly we walked straight onto the elevator and same coming back down. Also, if you're prepared to book lunch at the restaurant at the top, you get up there for free.
