This was not our first trip to NYC, but was our first time booking a hotel in NYC as we typically stay in Newark. The desk staff was more than willing to hold our luggage behind the desk as we arrived much earlier than we had anticipated. Not being aware of parking laws there, the lady at the front desk even warned us to not leave our car unattended to avoid a pricey ticket in front of the hotel. I work in social work, so I was actually excited to see that the hotel was directly across the street from one of NYC's Salvation Army's. It was extremely quiet there and you never heard the outside traffic or people. The rooms were small, but who hangs out in the hotel room when you're in NYC anyways?! The room was exceptionally clean (and I am very picky about that). The breakfast was great and was always kept stocked. The young man handling the breakfast service was very polite and went above and beyond his responsibilities. The only complaint was that there were never enough tables to eat at in the breakfast area if you made it down there past 8AM. We typically went down prior to that and it was fine. I am positive that we will stay here again. We were able to comfortably walk from the hotel to Times Square, Restaurant Row, Hells Kitchen, the pier, Intrepid Museum, Central Park, and many, many museums. The subway is a 10 minute walk and convenient.
