The Showboat Branson Belle cruises the waters of Table Rock Lake daily, creating a one-of-a-kind experience for visitors.
In fact, the Showboat is the largest ship on a landlocked lake in the United States. That said, you know you’re in for a unique Branson dinner and show when you board the boat. However, you might still have questions about your visit. Don’t worry—we’re here to answer any questions you may have about the Showboat Branson Belle.
Before You Board the Belle
If you’re planning on enjoying a dinner and show aboard the Showboat Branson Belle, be sure to purchase tickets in advance. Depending on the season, this show can book up—and fast! With Tripster, you can easily book Showboat Branson Belle tickets and save when you bundle your purchase with a hotel reservation.
Boarding the Ship
Yes, this is a real, operational riverboat. As a result, it’s pertinent to arrive on time for your show or the boat might leave you behind. I recommend arriving at least 30-45 minutes prior to show time. This will give you plenty of time to park and explore White River Landing.
At White River Landing, you can do a little bit of shopping at Layton Mercantile or McAdoo's Boatworks. Then, get a treat from Layton’s old-fashion soda fountain and take in the scenery of Table Rock Lake. Be sure to board the boat at least 10 minutes in advance of show time, though. Dinner service is prompt! Plus, a souvenir photo is taken upon boarding so make time for that as well.
It’s Dinner Time!
Tickets to the Showboat Branson Belle don’t just include a show—there’s a full meal served too! Like I mentioned above, dinner service starts right away. The helpful Showboat staff will take your drink order (no alcohol is served). Then, a salad and dinner roll begins the actual meal. The main course is brought out shortly thereafter.
The meal changes depending on the show you’re seeing. During my recent visit, Country on the Lake was the featured performance. Accordingly, the menu consisted of a barbeque feast of chicken, pork, loaded potatoes, and corn. It’s complemented by an apple cinnamon ice cream dessert. Keep in mind, though, if watch the Celebrate show the meal will be slightly different.
During show time, the emcee and Showboat band entertains. However, the actual show doesn’t start until after dinner is over. There’s a slight break between meal time and show time, too, allowing visitors time to peruse the Showboat Branson Belle. You are cruising Table Rock Lake, after all!
Take in the Beautiful Ozarks Scenery
The Showboat Branson Belle provides a unique way to see the sights of Table Rock Lake. Stroll the three decks of the riverboat and take in panoramic views of this pristine Branson attraction. In addition, large windows line the boat so you can see the beauty of the lake from inside the boat too.
It’s Showtime!
After witnessing the outdoor spectacular that is Table Rock Lake, it’s time for the indoor entertainment to start. As I mentioned above, Country on the Lake was the featured show during my recent visit. It’s debuted in early 2017 and has been a resounding hit with audiences. After watching it, I can easily see why!
The show starts off with a bang, with an energetic performance of “Party on the Lake”—a song written specifically for this show. Then, each member of the cast showcases their talent during individual performances before a medley of group numbers begin. If you’re a fan of country music from the 90s, 2000s and today this show is for you! Artists such as Carrie Underwood, Garth Brooks, Little Big Town, Alan Jackson, Reba McEntire and more are covered.
And, let us tell you, these singers really know how to belt out a tune. In my opinion, Kelsie Watts stole the show. She has powerhouse vocals and a strong stage presence. You can just feel that she is going places in the music industry. Trust me, remember her name because you will be hearing from her in the future.
After the Show
Once the show is over, it’s time to depart the boat. Somewhat sneakily, the Showboat returns to port during the latter half of the show so getting back on dry land is relatively seamless. However, don’t be in too much of a hurry as the cast of the show is available for autographs.
