A seasonal outdoor pool is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend. River Place Inn offers a complimentary "Grab & Go" breakfast including all prepackaged items such as muffins, cereals, yogurt, granola bars, juices, milk, coffee, and tea.

This Smoky Mountains area hotel is located on River Road, less than half a mile to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cade's Cove is approximately two miles away and Ober Gatlinburg is within walking distance (0.1 mile). With a convenient location, the hotel is within easy walking distance to Gatlinburg Convention Center, Ober Gatlinburg Aerial Tramway, fabulous restaurants, Sky Lift Park and Ripley's Aquarium.

Parking: River Edge Inn offers free self-parking, one complimentary space per room. Additional vehicles will need to find alternative parking.

Pet Policy: Up to two small dogs, under 50lbs each, are accepted and allowed in each room. A $40 nightly fee per dog is applied at the hotel upon arrival. A $250 fully refundable damage deposit will also be taken upon arrival. Emotional support dogs are allowed and fees do apply. ADA-defined service animals are welcome without fees.

"One of my new favorite hotels! Will definitely stay here again"

This hotel was the perfect stay and in a fantastic location. Located on a small backstreet right off of main street gatlinburg, the last last as you are going toward the national park. The rooms are VERY spacious and peaceful. plenty of parking to go with your room. The hotel is in a very short walking distance to restaurants and the strip so you do not even have to pay for parking if you want to explore. Very close to the Gatlinburg walking trail which is a nice easy stroll down the side of a river. Overall I am very pleased with my stay here! Highly recommend

"Very Quiet Rooms"

This is a great small hotel right outside the National Park entrance, you can walk there. Very clean kept and quiet rooms. I can tell that the Office manager Carolyn and her husband, Bryon are what keeps this hotel running. We will remember this place if we ever go back to the Smokies.

"Would stay again"

The room was large and the king sized bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was immaculately cleaned. The staff was friendly and helpful. However, the sidewalks outside the rooms was heavily cracked with large pieces of concrete missing. Patches appeared to be unprofessional and old. The elevator, while very faithful, had heavily worn and torn rubber mats on the floor. For senior citizens who must be careful of every step, both the sidewalks and the floor in the elevator kept us on our toes. The only ice machine in our part of the building was on the third floor. An unexpected feature was a comfortably sized balcony that was very pleasant in the evenings.

"Can’t Recommend"

Very disappointed that the pool was not open - they endlessly pointed out how this way my fault for not calling to check on the pool - but we are used to spring break in Nashville where pools are open - so I did not think to check. My bad. First floor balcony room had a basement vibe to it. Breakfast is granola bars to go. Bed bases were metal and one of them had a huge dent like a car backed into it. If you are going to be hiking all day and just looking for a place to sleep - this works. If you are interested in the pool - call to be sure it is open. I am most disappointed with the customer service when I called to follow up to see if we could get any kind of refund for the two nights we moved to a different (much nicer Hotel - Hampton Inn). The manager was a nightmare… just talked and talked and talked and if you tried to get a word in edge wise she would stop and say nothing. My Husband had the same experience with her on the way in when we were just confirming our reservation. When I told her from a customer service standpoint it would be nice is she talked a little less and listened a little more - she then hung up on me. Take your chances with this one.

They have everything I hoped for. Coffee. Fireplace. Great location. Excellent restaurants. Nice staff. I will return for the next Gatlinburg Duplicate Bridge Tournament! Very close to Convention Center. Beautiful river. Very walkable.
